DIrt 3 is still new, so it is expensive, but IMO it is a ton of fun if you're willing to pay 33 bucks for it. Of course, you could always wait to get it for 10 bucks on the christmas sale.

If you haven't played ME2 yet, shame on you, and go buy it.

Can someone describe Amnesia a little more?

Try the demo. Amnesia is just awesome. It is a pure horror game, you have no way to fight back, you simply hide and run like the little bitch you are and fight off insanity.

The fun factor is strong with ME2, imo.

I didn't like it at all at first, but it has grown on me.

I think it's a must play, and the Summer is the perfect time for it because it's like a fluffy, brainless, action-filled Summer blockbuster movie.

sorry I am skipping Mass Effect 2 because I want the story DLC but refuse to pay 35 freaking dollars for just a few hours of additional gameplay.

What's the word on Universe Sandbox?

It's fun. It isn't really a game. It is simulator but very cool. You can make galaxies collide and other things and cause mayhem on a massive scale.

If you are into space/stars type of stuff I suggest it, there is a demo on Steam too iirc.

I was under the impression that the ME2 DLC was free...

Don't skip ME2, you really would be doing yourself a disservice. It was so much damn fun.

Amnesia is extremely atmospheric, and many people who've played it actually consider it to be the scariest game ever made. It was developed by Frictional Games, who are (IMO) the masters of horror. They're the same people who made the Penumbra series.

Like I said, it's not for everyone, but if you enjoy a good adventure game and you enjoy shitting your pants, then pick it up for $5. No question. I actually pre-ordered Amnesia all the way back in September, and it took me about 4 months to finish it because it was so intense I could only play in 20-minute intervals.

I've bought a couple that I found outt about just because of tickets. They've all been in the 1.50-3.75 range and look like fun short play to try for an achievement types.

no its not free. there are FOUR story DLCs and they are only available through Bioware. it costs 31 bucks in points for those 4 story DLCs. you can only buy points so you will have to spend 35 bucks to get them.

I really want to play them as well, but you're right; not worth an additional $35. And also a hassle that you have to buy them through Bioware and not from Steam. It wont stop me from enjoying the core game though.

Damn! My region sucks.

The 66% off sale price for Mass Effect 2 is $17. Isn't the same price as the normal price for it in the US regions?

Maybe you're looking at the "deluxe" edition. That's $17.99.

And I saw that Mass Effect 1 is on sale as well; Also a must-play.

It's amazing how two games can be so similar, and yet so different.

This is why I won't buy this game and support this shit. When are people going to get fed up of these "tricks" game pubs use to get you to literally waste your money?

luckily it does not happen very much as Steam usually gets the DLC for most games. for instance i just picked up the DLCs for Fallout NV because they were $2.99 a piece.

EA/Bioware are just too stubborn to see that they would make more money by having the DLC on Steam where people would by the crap out of it on sale.

I don't mind buying DLC, but if it's not on Steam, I'm not buying it.

It's not DLC itself. It's putting up DLC for 250 Points but you can only actually buy them in 300 point increments. The 50 points I have left over will either be a complete waste (company profits) OR will have some psychological effect in making me buy the next DLC (company profits) "because I already have 50 points sitting there so what's spending for another 300"? Of course, after that transaction I'll no doubt still have points left over because it's almost impossible to zero out such systems.

Note how Valve's Mann Store didn't go this route. It's pure $$$ values for all the items contained within.

I hate that, it's so scummy. I vote with my wallet and never get involved in such schemes.

how did you sale your Fallout 3 retail copy? it uses GFWL and that key is tied to you.

My physical copy of Fallout 3 never required GFWL to run. I installed it with the CD key that was printed on the manual and played it just fine - never once signed in to GFWL. It may be required for the DLC but I've never played any of it.
