I'm really surprised by how low the prices are on Portal 2, and Dead Space 2 today. Considering both are popular, and highly rated games it's surprising to see prices that cheap already. DNF I've just got to laugh at. 14 years in the making and on sale for $25 this soon after release. LOL.

I'm in for Terraria and Hitman 1 & 2 today.

Eff yeah! Effin' Terraria for $2.49! Insta-buy.

Dead Space 2 is an EA game. EA games actually drop in price pretty fast. Even moreso with Valve games.

Also, lol at DNF being 50% off already.

Is the X super pack worth it? I don't own any of the games, but I've always wondered how good they were. I've enjoyed space based games like Homeworld and Freelancer in the past.

The X games are awesome. If I remember right though, you really only need Terran Conflict as it has everything all the others does plus more, though I may be wrong.

there ya go, portal 2 is now daily deal for 24.99
Actually got Portal for free on that one day they opened up Steam for Apple Mac. But I finally did bite on Portal 2.

More detail? I'm really looking into buying an X3 game, specifically the one with the prize and achievements. Many people are saying that X3 Terran Conflict is the only one to pick up, since the series is iterative and Terran Conflict is the latest. I'll probably do that.

Also whats up with the front page AGAIN! SuperBox on front page says 4.99$, store page says 9.99$. Somethings is strange there.

UHG. DNF at 25$ is still a little high for giggles and nostalgia and achievements. Remember its a Steamworks game, so any other retailer ever going lower in the future will activate onto Steam. Keys with videocard purchases etc. I'll probably go that route.

I'm interested in this Winter Voices game but I don't understand the DLC episodic thing? I have to pay 2.50 fo each of the 5 episodes?

yeah, I think so. I've been looking at it, too, since stumbling across it when they released the first one back in November? I've been waiting for more to accumulate, though, to hopefully get a good deal on a package, in case it really does suck.

I've had the first few episodes in my wishlist, just to remind me, heh.

Dead Space 2 is $14.99? WTF? It just came out in February of this year!

I thought I got a great deal when I got it for $26.99 in March!

Note to self: never buy any game when it just comes out (except BF3 of course ).

Okay, so is DNF worth at least $25?
you say that like 25 bucks is not a lot. for a Steam sale, 25 bucks is not that cheap at all anymore even for a good game so no way is Duke Nukem worth that.

How's Neverwinter Nights 2? I've been trying to get through Risen, just can't get into it or care about the story.

New Vegas came out in October and I picked that up with the DLC a few days ago for what 21/22 bucks? Not surprising, but at least most of the companies aren't like Activision and sell games that are 3-4 years old for $49.99.

I'm miffed that I paid full price for the Orange Box, specifically for TF2, and now it's F2P.

Neverwinter Nights 2 platinum is a great deal for $6.79 but I already have it.

Dead Space 1+2 for $20 is tempting but I have a huge backlog of shooters so I can wait and buy it for $10 in some future sale, along with Duke when it hits $5

How's Neverwinter Nights 2? I've been trying to get through Risen, just can't get into it or care about the story.

It's good, people claim the original campaign is a little weak but I thought Obsidian did a decent job. It has the Bioware/Obsidian standards of a party (with banter and their own side quests), a real story, interesting settings. Like most Obsidian games the ending is a little weak.

(A party that has personality makes a story-based RPG much more interesting to me. I was playing the first Drakensang for awhile but got bored by it -- ho-hum story, companions with no personality, and a "different" combat and magic system that I don't think works as well as D&D.)

The Mask of the Betrayer campaign is also a good, long story with some interesting twists. I haven't played Zehir yet but it sounds like more of a hack and slash like Icewind Dale.

You also get access to fan-created modules for it, but when I last looked into that (over a year ago) there was nothing like the quantity and quality of the modules for NWN 1.

I bought hard copy of NWN2 back in the day. Then after playing a bit, lost interest moment they announced expansions set to be released. So will probably pick up this deal, & throw up my hard copy for sale.

So far, I have accumulated everything out of the Orange Box for free, except for episodes 1&2.

I didn't pick them up last week, when they were $2.50 each, or whatever. I guess I'm just waiting for them to show up free to complete the package.

basically, if they're willing to unload it for $25 just under a month after release, what are they willing to do a month from now? or even later.

Always down for cheap games, so I'll finally jump on terraria or w/e. 15 is a good price for dead space 2 and I've wanted it, but I might hold off still.

Man...tough choices today. Not much money left. I want the hitman games but there's a lot of Square stuff I want, and I was thinking I'd wait for the Square pack at christmas.

How good are the Princeof Persia games?

Now the superbox doesn't have any pricing on it . . ..

If this helps - and assuming that the superbox is really $9.99 - there's a X3 Gold pack on sale for $6.24

EDIT: Now steams' showing X3: Terran conflict for sale @ $4.99 w/ a little blurb for the superbox.

You shouldn't be. If I remember correctly, The Orange Box was one of the most valuable bundles I ever bought, and it was totally worth full price back in 2007. I regret nothing.

No kidding. I paid like $70 for the english retail version - before I figured out that I could get the same thing in steam - while overseas in 2009 and I don't regret the purchase just due to the sheer content in there.

Man, lots of good choices today. Dead Space 2 is a given; NWN2, Portal 2, and Prince of Persia Complete look tempting.
