Okay, so is DNF worth at least $25?

Yes - if you go into the game not expecting anything new, a lot of uncensored duke nukem humor, topless big boobed babes, and carnage/destruction - with a bit of "where do I go now?" situations. The 2 gun limit really isn't that bad as the weapons you will want to use are usually nearby. No surprise it's already at 50% off though.

Sam and Max complete pack [$12.49] is a good deal if you're into really strange point and click adventures.

Portal 2 for $24.99 - yes, it's worth it.

From what I've heard, it's pretty good, but you NEED a wheel to play it with, or at least a gamepad. The handling is very difficult (it's F1 after all), not exactly a sim, but still quite challenging. I don't know if there's much variety in tracks but for $10 it's probably worth it. I remember noticing it has really good graphics, particularly with the rain and other weather effects.

I have no idea about multiplayer. It's less than a year old, so I'd imagine there are plenty of people playing.

For $10 it is definitely worth it. I have played more than a 100 hours.. and still fell like playing. As lessthandan suggested.. you need a gamepad atleast. Its definitely not a sim, and they need to fix a lot of issues regarding handling and mechanics though. Not a perfect game.. and not in the league of codemaster's other racing games though.

What the hell?! I also had a fleeting interest, but I was leaning toward getting around to buying it tonight for $2.49. They're DAILY DEALS, Steam!

I'm not buying it for $4.99, especially when Steam lied about it being a DAILY DEAL (which shouldn't end until 1pm (Eastern) tomorrow.

Yup. Upped the price from $2.50 to $5.00, midway through the sell. They've done the same with some other daily deals over the past few days too. People are gettin' mad.

Pricing errors, usually they get caught early on. People reported that when they logged on to Steam shortly after the sale went live and that got that advertisement page about the new daily deals for today, people said that Terreira was on there for 50% but when you went on to the main Steam page and the store page it was 75% off.

Also, you need to remember, Steam can't go messing with prices unless the publisher/dev tells them too. Steam does mess up putting things up for the wrong prices at times but they do correct when they find out.

I unloaded $10 on the Empire and Napoleon total war complete pack last night. it was a shitload of content, though--35gb. wtf. I'll never play it.


I didn't download it, because I got to thinking about going over cap. I've never done that--I think--I've never been charged. But, it would really suck to break your cap after downloading all these games then eating a ridiculous overage charge, negating all your savings.

Comcast? They don't charge you if you go over... in fact, they don't really do anything. Last time I talked to a friend of mine, he told me that he's been over the cap every month since it was added and nothing has happened. I think I did hear something about someone getting a letter when they went over 2x the cap (500GB).

It's not really the money, it's that I really doubt I'd play it anyway. $2.50 was enough to make me jump without thinking too hard, but going up just reminded me that my backlog is already full of stuff I WANT to play... no use wasting more money on something I really won't get to.
