Recap day! My wallet is saved. Damn good thing too; I bought X3 last night and finally hit the $100 mark with all of my summer sale purchases this year.

I don't quite understand the dawn of war games. Is Retribution a stand alone sequel? Or is it the first game in the Dawn of War 2 series? Or...what?

BTW...assuming they don't add games to the packs by Christmas...would the price on say, the THQ pack possibly go from $50 summer to $45 Christmas? just curious, this is my first steam sale.

DoW2 Retribution is a stand alone expansion pack. It has everything the other 2 DoW2 titles have (as far as multiplayer, single player campaigns are different). Retribution is the 3rd of the DoW 2 games.

As far as the THQ pack goes, I don't think it has ever went below $50.

It's a stand alone sequel. If you own that, you basically own the previous two if you're playing MP. I don't think the price will drop...

Don't forget everyone, today is the last day of the sale, so anything that didn't become a daily deal is not going to be marked down further for the sale. So go buy whatever games you were wanting or browse through the Steam store at the cheap games.

Also a reminder, Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines is on sale (only the second time it has been on Steam), so if you were wanting that game, chances are this is the cheapest you will see it for quite sometime.

There is a story line yes, but each one can be contained for the most part per game, though you do get a lot more info playing them all. As for knowledge about the WH40K universe. It depends on how much you know honestly. If you don't know much, yes it will give you a lot of info, if you are already into WH40k you probably wont find much you don't know, but it doesn't make it any less cool imo

Wasn't planning on buying it, was just trying to see what the price was.

IMHO, this final day sucks, unless they're putting more on sale later. I was thinking of getting Fallout 3 GOTY today if it showed up on the recap (couldn't decide whether I wanted to pick it up or not last week), but guess what... it's not there. New Vegas is tempting, but I think I'm going to wait till there's a GOTY pack next time around.

Not a big deal, I have enough to keep me occupied until the winter sale.

Edit: GAH, half of the stuff their page SAYS is on sale for a given price actually ISN'T.

Nope, my only warhammer knowledge is from reading a few random articles off the WH wiki like Emperor of Mankind...that's why it would be cool to see more

That is exactly what happened. They always put up the new deals before changing the price of the old ones. So there is usually a 30-60min window you can grab the deals from the day before usually.

I enjoyed Fable 2, but I should probably wait for another sale on 3. $25 is still a tad too much based on what I saw in Fable 2. That's really the only one I'm interested in today.

$20.99 for FO New Vegas + 2 DLCs is a good deal IMO.
