You know those little stores in RPGs where you buy food, equipment, and other stuff? In Recettear, your job is to actually run one. Buy shit wholesale, jack up the prices, rip off customers, and pull off long sales-streaks for more XP. You can also go dungeon diving for more loot to sell. It's extremely addictive; I bought it during the Thanksgiving sale last year and I certainly got more than $5 worth of entertainment out of it.

It has a lot of dialogue (like many Japanese games) but it does an extremely good job of explaining the game mechanics to you. You'll get a hang of it quicky and soon become engrossed in it.

Hahah, well, it's not a story-driven game. So really none of the dialogue is emotional/dramatic cutscene type stuff. Rather, it's all there to just explain the various nooks and crannies of the game while teaching you how to sell stuff.

I might be getting both packs. 1C for Star Wolves and Space Rangers although King's Bounty looks interesting too. Hell, might even load up the trucking game(Rig n Roll). Meridian for Syberia and Still Life.

Anyone know if the Nancy Drew games are serious mystery games or kiddie junk? And how good are the Sherlock Holmes games?

Disciples 2 is the best damn TBS ever made thats not a grognard game. I highly recommend the Strategy First pack or at least D2 with expansions. Only like 3.42 each. That less than you fat bastards spend on McDonalds every day.

This seems to be hammering steam's web store. I just bought Medal of Honor and Test Drive Unlimited 2, I guess we'll see how download speeds are.

IMO The THQ pack is insane. If you only need a few games out of it it is worth buying and gifting the rest.

I am looking at getting Medal of Honor (10) and TDU2 (10). You guys have me interested in that Recettear too.

Don't forget the contest too for the prize tickets. I've gotten a few tickets so far from the games I own. Probably going to get the the new sector added into X3 as my first item then the Magicka cruise ship map
