Don't forget that there are typically recap days during the sales. A 10 day sale might have two recap days. I'd imagine that Witcher 2 would be included in the recap day.

It's really short and not all that much fun. Steam shows I had exactly 4 hours into the game to finish it.

I think the recap is for all those people (like myself) who mull about a certain game and miss the chance for dilly-dallying for too long. Of course then as soon as it passes you (and I) kick yourself in the ass for not taking it . . ..

It's just like the newer CoD games. Short, over-scripted, repetitive. Not worth $10 IMO.

also, how good are the Force Unleashed 1 and 2? I want to get Empire at War, trying to think if the Pack is worth it.

i already have KOTOR CDs from 2004 if that factors into anyone's response, lol.

Empire at War is horrible. I remember when that was released, i really wanted it. waited many years.

Finally bought it during the last X-Mas sale, or sometime around that. I got to maybe the 2nd battle and simply can't finish it. the mechanics are clunky and amateurish. The RTS bits are absolute garbage if you ask me.

It's a steal.

The DLC for this game is well worth it--I freaking hate DLC..but it kinda makes sense for this game.

fov setting for the game does seem a little different from other games. I'm used to fov 90 though.

Go into Borderland properties in Steam; Local files - verify integrity of game files .. it has saved my as .. me, time, on several occasions

Is the Steam sale the reason why I don't currently have a Remove button on my wishlist? There were some games I wanted before, but didn't look at ratings, and now that they are on sale I did and there's no way in hell I'd buy. The First Templar looked good when it first appeared on Steam but it's got both a 56 metacritic and a 4 on IGN lol. And as of this moment I can't remove it.

Reason I post this is because it has only ever been on sale on Steam one other time like 2 years ago.

I'd suggest as always to wait till the last day to buy if you are wanting it, just for the off chance that is shows up as a daily deal (though very slim in this case)

Wow... first steam sale in a long time that I didn't bite on anything on the first day.

Probably a few reasons:
1. I learned to have some restraint
2. I have too many games already (300+)
3. The deals just aren't as great as past sales.

I had fun unlocking the tickets though.

i had that happen once. It never completed the D/L but verified the files as far as it went

i moved the installed files to another PC and then it resumed

i used to really hate Steam .. until i found the free D/L day or two every month (no bandwidth monitoring) of my Satellite ISP
