These steam sales are genius.. I've bought 4 games I had very little interest in just to get the summer achievement tickets and 3 of those ended up being good games! These Indie developers must love these sales.

LOL, I bought Hamilton's Great Adventure just to get a ticket. Decent little indie puzzle game. Got the ticket this morning.

Is DNF, Borderlands, Mafia II, SM's Pirates and all of the DLC for those games worth the $74.99 2K Package Price? I pretty much have all of the other games in that package.

Well...to be more specific, based on previous FF games I'd really like to play FF13! LA Noire too but fortunately that WAS announced to be going PC. There are a lot of other games that don't get brought over.

Disclaimer: Considering that there are good single player games on consoles does not mean I like the way that multiplatform development influences multiplayer games like BF3.

Darksiders is excellent as well as Magicka, Magicak does have a demo iirc on Steam too.

No clue on Hoard, I think it has a demo though.

Get SMB, best side scroller I've played in...possibly ever. Level design is top notch and the music is pretty good too, a $30 value for me.

Well, I got Fable 3, Darksiders and Half Life Complete. I've never played a Half Life game. Always got distracted from buying them, by Everquest, BF1942 and so on.

And now I'm tapped out. I might be able to grab another $5 game if someone amazing comes up. And my wishlist is still at 61, technically it got bigger because I added a few games that are placeholders for entire series of games(Like Nancy Drew, Sherlock Holmes, Splinter Cell[Who knew those were on PC and actually good?]).

Oh well nothing good today. Well darksiders was fun but already own; and I suppose by christams I'll be ready for fable 3 and it'll be $15 dollars cheaper so guess I'll wait on that.

I haven't gotten very far, but it does have a story. there aren't cutscenes--game will pause and dialogue will occur--but there is voice and text--in some kind of fantasy gibberish that is supposed to sound Scandinavian-ish or something.

it is quite awesome.


you can try the demo. which is a great idea, b/c you may not like the battle system.

Yes, yes and no.

The story is not meant to be taken seriously.. they are mostly composed of pop and cultural references.. and sarcasm is found everywhere(Which makes it a lot funny).

The most unique aspect of this game is the spell system.. it will take time ot master it.. but once you get used to mashing right key combinations.. it will be a breeze and it is overall a really good gaming experience.
