The KB games are quite good. I think I sunk 80 hours into the first one in one play-through. I paid 2x for that package back ~X-Mas? and it was well worth it.
I started AP right after, and got a bit burned out so haven't picked it up in some time. plus, as mage, it is much, much harder. Even warrior can be rather difficult early on.

BAS doesn't need a gamepad, but it probably would help. KB&M is perfectly fine.
I got the Xbox wired controller just for Just Cause 2, but it wouldn't work in that game for me, at all. I was desperate, tried several things (emulation through MotionNJoy was the killer), now the thing seems completely broken and doesn't work with any of the games. I have no idea what is going on, but it now has a flashing ring around the X button--I'm calling it a green ring of death.

anyway, it will probably work for you. My case seemed not unique, but certainly not common.
The Steam sale has been fairly light on my wallet so far.
Not to say it's terrible as there are/were some AAA-titles, but I've already snatched them up from prior sales or I'm just not interested . . . and my wallet is grateful for that, for sure.

My 360 controller worked in JC2 fine. I mean it is slightly buggy as it's a console port so I could see it not working for some, but it wouldn't affect other games.
All I've picked up so far was Transformers: War for Cybertron. Nothing else has interested me. Even if I'm not seeing much I like or don't have I love these Steam sales just because of the anticipation of finding out what's going to be on sale every day.
