Well there's rumors floating about but the people that really know aren't allowed to say. I don't see how Subaru can continue selling the STI without significant upgrades, even more so now with the new widebody WRX.

I keep hearing great things like it being a sedan, possibly with a DSG of some type. That would be awesome, but I also felt an upgrade was needed last year and when nothing came of it, I was a little sad.

I'm glad they're pouring some effort into the Impreza line, it was not well received by the enthusiast community when the new one debuted in '08 and the Legacy release this past year was also a punch in the nuts to many Subaru fans.

They've never made a good looking car, they've always had "special" designers.

That's a WRX I would buy.. looks much better than the previous sedan. Will the 5-door look the same as the current STI?

Looks like ass. The new Impreza/WRX sedans need work. The hatch/wagon looks great, however.

The Subaru Legacy (last generation) remains the best looking Subaru to date. All the rest scream fugly and some more then the others. But this STI with widebody doesn't look bad at all I must say.

I don't like the chunky fenders or the sharp lines leading up over the edge of them. They just look like ass IMO...and they really need to do something with that front end.

I like the WRX price more and it's fast enough for me, but I like the look of STI more. This seems like a good tradeoff. I still kinda regret not getting a Saab(aru) 9-2(WR)X Aero when they had $6K off and were going for $19K. Especially since I started going snowboarding in Tahoe.

Considering that Subaru no longer officially participates in WRC events, meaning they have no requirement to sell the STi anymore, I'd go with the former. The standard WRX has been encroaching on STi's performance ground more and more with each revision. Making it look like it would seem to be the final nail in the coffin.
