I always like seeing a Flyers vs Penguins matchup but the Flyers did pretty bad this year.

I think the Wings have a shot at the first round at least (my home team). They were stinking up the place this year though, I was just glad they made it.

Back when the Wings nailed 62 wins in a season, they still lost the cup, so anything is possible!

And everyone of them will lose to Pittsburgh. Original Six can go f themselves. They all think they are all high and mighty and above everyone else. Even the stupid NBC announces are bias toward them.

Lets be real here that cup is coming back to Pittsburgh.

Haha. Yeah...until someone checks Crosby and he goes down like the child he is.

Does anyone remember the last time the blues beat the kings? They didn't do it this season. They didn't do it last year in the playoffs. I don't think they did it in the regular season last year. But you have them coming out of a best of 7 against the kings?

I'm not saying it can't or won't happen, I'm just saying it ain't likely.

I'm just glad we missed the Blues in the first round. I put a chunk of change on the Blues at 38:1 to win the cup; I think they are going all the way.

Back in 05-06, Ottawa absolutely destroyed Buffalo in the regular season on their way to the #1 seed. They didn't just win, they had three different wins of 5+ goals (5-0, 10-4, 6-1). Come playoffs, Buffalo won the series 4-1. I wouldn't be so arrogant if I were you.

I don't really follow the west so I can't really comment on those, but I would pick Washington over the Rangers, and Toronto over Boston. Washington has been playing great the last couple weeks and boston has been sucking it up.

One advantage to living in Shanghai is that NHL Center Ice has no blackouts, so I will be watching a lot of hockey.

Michael

NHL Center Ice or NHL Gamecenter? They are two different services.

I am still pissed about all playoff games are blacked out on Gamecenter if you are living in US/Canada.

I was going to reply with a pic of the Wings winning a cup... But then I was overwhelmed by all of the possible pictures to use. So, let's go with this one:

LOL! All kidding aside, I'd be surprised if the Penguins weren't in the Stanley Cup Finals.
I predict another Fluery meltdown.

We need James Reimer to focus and play as he was before the meltdown on Saturday against Montreal.

There are certainly upsets in my picks the way I've picked them, I just expect things to change come playoffs. I expect Boston to do what they have done in recent years and play better come playoffs, as well as I expect Washington to drop off as they have in years past.

My picks can certainly be evaluated and seen as crazy, but we'll see what happens. I think several of the series could go 7 games, like Ana v. Det, StL v LA and Wash v. Boston

Wings have a damn good chance to go past the 1st round. The season series was 2-1 in favor of the Wings.

LET'S GO RED WINGS!!!!

Howard could not have been any hotter when they came to Anaheim. Let's see if he can repeat that performance. It would also help if Anaheim woke up and played some defense. That aspect has been hard to watch at times.

i've really gotten into hockey the past couple years and this year was really into it, watching a lot of the caps games. i went to my first hockey game at the verizon center when they played tampa bay a few weeks ago. i hadn't been to a hockey game in over 20 years when they were playing at the capitals center.

i hope they can get past the rangers this year. they are playing really well right now and have peaked at the best possible time.

Gamecenter. Ipad application but also from the web browser. The funny thing for me is that my router has a VPN, so Hulu Plus and such works for me, but it shuts down GCL depending on the game (I have a Dallas IP address). However, I keep my computer off the VPN (I have one specific for it that I turn on if I need it). And all the games work fine there. the Ipad also seems to go off of the GPS location from what I can tell.

China's "great firewall" doesn't seem to effect the hockey streams. I get very good quality feeds from home and the games are watchable via 3G streaming.

Yea. Thats nice. I didn't presume or say they don't have a chance. All of the teams have a chance in each of their series. In fact I think that one goes 7 games, I'm simply picking Anaheim to win. Although I do hope the Wings get swept

We need James Reimer to focus and play as he was before the meltdown on Saturday against Montreal.

Keon Curse Keon Curse Keon Curse!!!!

THE CURSE of DAVE KEON is why the Toronto Maple Leafs WILL NEVER win another Stanley Cup.

INSET CLOSE-UP: There’s “Davey” smilin’, and laughin’, lookin’ out onto the streets of Toronto from the Hockey Hall of Fame.

It's important to note that the "curse" was never pronounced onto the Toronto Maple Leafs by Dave Keon himself, but was incurred by the TLM organization through their scandalous and callous treatment of the star.

HAROLD BALLARD, then the owner of the Leafs, publicly criticized Dave's leadership in the 74/75 season and vowed never again to agree to Keon's no-trade clause. When Keon's contract came up for renewal at year's end, Ballard made it clear Keon was done as a Leaf. Ballard, who controlled Keon's NHL rights, told Keon to try to sign with another NHL team, but then set Keon's compensation price so high that no other team would sign him. Keon then jumped to the WHA to escape the wrath of Ballard.

You simply can’t mistreat a class act, like DAVE KEON gloriously was back in the day, and expect to move forward as an individual, or as an organization without incurring some sort of penalty. Offense demands recompense.

Toronto won 4 Stanley Cups because of this guy!

The LEAFS ORGANIZATION needs to satisfy, and apologize for Keon’s 1975 trade and for their shameful public and covert treatment of the Leaf's brightest star.

Dave NEVER WANTED to leave Toronto and he never should have been traded. He was always a Leaf in his heart.

Recently, sports writers and hockey fans were polled and only one question was asked.

WHO was the best Toronto Maple Leaf of all time?

The result floored even the author… who then turned the question into a book.

Dave Keon.

He was and will always be the quintessential Leaf.

SOME people think Dave "should get over it". Nope.

He's bitter because he was denied and publicly shamed. And if he had received a formal and public apology NOW from TLM… he might… MIGHT… be able to let it go…

When, or if, the Toronto Maple Leafs ever respect themselves as an organization… they'll stop with the half-way measures like those earlier this year, and give Keon what he wants.

FOR STARTERS retire NUMBER 14.

At least the Hockey Hall of Fame got it right–

I'm with ya Davey… when you left, I never watched another Leaf game again.

Long live THE CURSE!!!

I can't wait for next season when we get to play the Leafs/Hab's/Bruins regularly

/Maple Leaf vs Red Wings games are always intense

That's why they invented VPN...unless they're smart enough to black out individual accounts based on billing address. That would suck major donkey balls.

I too wish they still had playoffs on GameCenterLive. The DVR pause ability and watch-later abilities with fastforward have been a god-send. Skip commercials and intermissions.

I too hope PIT falls on their face, much like when the Yankees stack players.

You call that arrogance? It's merely an astute observation.
