Weird, for the first time in years Im not into it. Teams I dont really give a F about, players I dont really give a F about. Ehh.

I wasn't into it last year, at all.

2010 was great but a bit surreal. This year, if the Hawks can pull it off, you can begin a bit with the D-word talk.

And that makes it even bigger than 2010. Plenty of teams win a single cup. It's the multi-winners that get remembered as special.

I can't believe I'm saying this - I want the Hawks to be like the Wings.

Looked like the Blackhawks dialed in the killer instinct in the last 3 minutes, I'll tell 'ya though, if Tim Thomas was still the Bruin's goalie there's no way he gets that far out of position on the winning goal, and the Bruin defensemen F'-it up badly by letting anyone have that kind of position close to the goal.

After Chicago tied it up I went upstairs to turn the TV on for my wife so she could see the end. In the time it took my Verizon set-top-box to download a software update Chicago scored the game winning goal. First thing I saw was the face-off with the score 3-2. You're my mortal enemy now, Verizon.

Watched this in a bar full of Hawks fans. Those last seconds were bananas.

I'm happy with this result.

I'm not, but I tip my hat to the Blackhawks, a great series all in all, The Bruins will just have to live with the 3 minute meltdown specially on the winning goal, no way in hell you let anyone set up shop on the far side of the goal when your goalie has had to move way to the other side, but credit to the Blackhawks, they saw an opportunity and pounced.

The word "epic" gets tossed around way too much, but that last minute ending was epic and quite possibly a once in a lifetime occurrence--ESPN Chicago claims it was the latest a game-winning goal has ever been scored in the Stanley Cup clincher. Even before the flurry at the end, the Hawks have to be the luckiest team around. They caught some breaks early on and should have been down at least 2-0 going into the second period. Boston played the way you would expect, like their survival depended on it, but the Hawks pulled through somehow.

I'm pretty sure if the Blackhawk's pregame meals include 50% protein they have a 65% chance of winning the next cup as well (hehehehehe).

In retrospect - this season was the best reality TV I've ever watched. From the streak, to the controversies, to the president's trophy chase, to being down against Detroit (they probably could have won the cup the way they were playing if they gave Brendan Smith sleeping pills before every game), to punking the Kings.... and now this.

I'll remember this one more fondly than 2010.

I would try and give iRONic more crap, but the Bruins played so well to the very end, that I will instead say that it was one of the best finals I have ever seen. Both teams would have truly deserved it if they had won.
