On a more peculiar note, since the finals moved to a best-of-7 format in 1939, this is only the fourth time one team had exactly 21 more points than their opponent. All 3 times, the underdog won (Boston over Detroit in '53, Quebec over Hartford in '87, St. Louis over Chicago in '93).

After watching that last Sens game, I'm not sure the guy in net was even a goalie at all.

It was like whatever random shit they threw at the net went in.

That and the fact that Pens were just chillin' in the Offensive zone all day. Pens literally faced no defense at all.

Yeah, you play shitty offenses, your goalie is going look like a stud. But then you'll have the west tards saying "oh the east has no defense so of course it'll be an all offense on-slaught". its retarded to say one or the other, but if the pens make it that far, I like their chances.

As a wings fan, its nice to be on the side of the team that has the hot goalie and is the underdog wanting to scrap it out. The hawks look like the presidents cups team from 5 years ago of the wings. Lots of skill, but not willing to play rough and tough playoff hockey. Towes gets touched and he crys like a baby, looks a lot like Cindy Crosby.

Does anyone remember this at all:

I think it was a playoff game, and I think the goalie might have been from Detroit but I can't remember exactly. It was a one goal game and just about over, only a few seconds left.

The goalie from the leading team comes out of his crease and is in the process of lifting his arms to celebrate when one of the trailing team's players fires a scorcher that somehow finds it's way through traffic from beyond center ice. The goalie didn't see the puck until it was past him (he was already probably 7-8 feet out of the net and stuck his leg out way late) and it hit the post with one second left.

The camera angle when the puck hit the post was from behind the net. Does anyone here recall anything like that, when it might have been, or the teams involved?

First goal scored by Hawks on a blatent kick-trip of one of the Wing defenders. Hopefully the game will clean up. There's a lot of dirty hitting and crosschecking going on by Chicago.

Yep. Crosschecking, two uncalled high sticks. The announcers even mentioned it and replayed one of them.

It appears someone in the crowd has a whistle - twice now players on both teams have stopped thinking play was over then realized it wasn't (and you can hear it over the TV announcers).

Oops - and a horrible call by the refs. Clear penalty for tripping, ticky tack penalty for poking the Blackhawk. Stupid on Abdelkater's part, but horrible call by the refs.

Oh - and Brendan Smith should never had made it out of AAA.

Oh wow. That looked like a Hawk goal to me. Ref's whistled WAY too fast. Should be 2-0.

Followup - Looks like Chicago's trying to play the bully game. Their big guys intentionally going after the Wing's stars. (Not that it's a bad thing - totally the Wing's fault if it works).

And BAM. Wings tie it up. I'm not sure they deserve a tie right now, but the game's getting exciting.

They can skate like hell. I didn't expect that at all, and neither did the Blackhawks, evidently.

Roszival, who was such a find during the regular season is severely overmatched. He just can't keep up.

Bah. It was a fairly one sided game. In the end, the calls were evened out and the Hawks just out played the Wings. The Wings simply could not seem to keep it or get it out of their zone. Hopefully going home invigorates them, because they just got pwned.
