I selected "Neither" on many of the questions which I think screwed up the results. I know damn well I wouldn't vote for Newt Gingrich. The only candidate on the list I would even consider voting for is Ron Paul. Because he is a real Conservative and not a Zio nut. Basically the only one of his kind in American politics. Even some Liberals I know like Ron Paul. He is against foreign wars, opposed the Iraq war from the very beginning, as did I. I hope Iraq gets taken over in then end by someone worse than they replaced. Someone who would ally with Ahmadinejad.

So you like the idea of - the more evil despots the better - resulting in a much more unstable world, just for the sake of a narrow political ideology.

Good thing your type were a small minority when Hitler was walking around, too.

The quiz is deeply flawed. Most of the questions were shamelessly false dichotomies. Having a "Neither" option doesn't instill any confidence in the ability of the quiz to accurately account for views which don't fit the moronic pigeonholes presented.

Well said. I haven't seen one that isn't. The ones I've seen are Libertarian recruitment tools; I don't bother to look at most any more.

OK..

Barack Obama (announced candidacy) (75%)
Ron Paul (announced candidacy) (71%)

:hmm:

Like I've said, it doesn't take much to change a liberal into a libertarian. And I'll take a libertarian candidate anyday over a liberal.

The quiz didn't get my preference right:

Barack Obama (announced candidacy) (93%)

But at least it got the opposite end right

Sarah Palin (0%)
Herman Cain (announced candidacy) (0%)
Michele Bachmann (announced candidacy) (0%)
Rick Santorum (announced candidacy) (0%)

There is a greater purpose behind the decision than what most people even realize. Look at it like a game of chess, except I am looking at the same game, but not according to just the next step, but where are we going to be at 10 steps from now?

I am a Nationalist, and I think many Conservatives hold Nationalism close to heart but they don't have a party that represents those views. In order for a 3rd party to have any chance in politics, one party needs to be doing a whole lot of damage, and the only other party challenging them will need to be weakened. Its time to throw the Republican party under the bus. Things will have to get worse before they will get better. There is no real future for America through the Republican party. You can already see small sparks of this starting already in groups like the Tea Party, but I think the Tea Party is only the tip of the iceberg of what is really going to come. Even though I don't think the Tea Party is the real answer to the problems, it is a step in the right direction.

I am for taking advantage of the situation while we have a president as bad as Obama in office. I am so disgusted with the alternatives the Republican party is offering that I am willing to throw them under the bus this next election knowing full well Obama is going to do a whole lot of damage if he is re-elected. The way I look at it in the game of chess, I am going to let you take my Queen, but 10 steps from now you will be in check mate.

A candidate like Ron Paul is the lone Republican candidate that actually cares about America first, and above all else. When he says we shouldn't be fighting foreign wars against regimes that are no threat to us, he is correct. It is not in the true interests of America to be war mongering in the 3rd world, and in the Muslim world. Saddam Hussein was never a threat to America, and during the Reagan administration we actually supported Iraq against Iran in the Iran/Iraq war.

If another government actually does attack America, then the response I would give is to take them out, and no we will not rebuild your nation, military victory will be defeating the enemy regime, and destroying its military capabilities, and the people of that country will have to decide for themselves what to do next. When these dictators see that we can rush in there and own you real hard and fast style if you attack America, that will show a strong enough resolve to keep America safe from would be enemy governments. We don't have to get involved in the mingling of foreign affairs that don't effect us.

Lobbying should be made illegal, the people are the only lobby government should have to answer to when they go and vote in the ballot box. Any politician caught taking money from a foreign government will be tried with treason.

America's economic policies should be molded around what is good for America, and the American worker, nothing else matters.

I think even some Liberals might be drawn over to a new party, because we will be anti foreign war, pro constitutional rights, and pro-American worker. And a much different foreign policy than either party offers today. I think a party with Nationalist/Libertarian ideals could do very well in the right circumstances, but we must first create the playing field for it. We need to replace the Republican Party. Such a government would be more liberal than the republican party in social policy, and rights, but much more conservative with economic and fiscal policy. Many voters vote Democrat only because of their Liberal social policy, even if they tend to be more Conservative with fiscal policies. I would be for legalizing gay marriage, abortion and even marijuana.

Immigration won't be seen as a right but a privilege that can be taken away if you are on welfare or commit a crime. A potential immigrant should have to prove they have a skill or education that Americans don't have the capacity to fill in order to get a work visa here. Otherwise there will be no work visas. No more filling our colleges up with foreign immigrants. They must prove they are getting training in a field that we can't find enough Americans to do and must also agree in writing to use those skills in America after they get their education. Only model, productive immigrants will be offered citizenship. An illegal immigrant will have no rights guaranteed under the constitution, will receive no government benefits, children of illegal immigrants will also be illegal immigrants and employers who hire illegal immigrants will have their business license taken away, farmers who hire them will have their land confiscated. People who rent housing to illegal immigrants could have their property seized. If the farmers need labor they cannot find in America, then work permits will be granted to some immigrants. There will be no motivation or opportunities for illegal immigrants, so it will stop.

America for Americans, there is no legitimate alternative for this country that won't run it straight into the ground.

I actually took the quiz (which has the notable deficiency of not having Rice anywhere on it) and scored:
Romney 70% (My favored Republican!)
Wayne Allyn Root 66% (Libertarian candidate who will probably get my vote as a default - which is funny 'cause I had to Google him)
Newt Gingrich 61% (eew)
Rick Santorum 61% (double eew)
Lindsay Graham 61% (WTF - now this thing's just messing with me)

I don't see a Democrat until Biden (WTF #2) at #13.

Well, just for fun, you understand, I discovered that Obama is 97% right and Sarah Palin and a whole bunch of other jerks don't know anything, like zero percent.

Wayne Root (never heard of the guy)
Newt Gingrich (if he's gets the nomination, I'll probably stay home election day and get stinking drunk)

I'm greatly disturbed by that "fun quiz" as it shows I agree with Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin 12% of the time.

The chance of Newt Gingrich getting the GOP nomination is approximately equal to the chance he'll be facing Dennis Kucinich in the 2012 general election.

I am so confused. Is this site somehow paired with this Wayne Allyn Root guy. Buddy and I just took this test, Obama was his number 1, Root was his #4. Root #1 for me Newt #2.

How can this guy be at the top no matter the stance?

I don't know who he is either. I guess he sudo'ed his way into the primary without us knowing.

Also my top five are
Obama 92%, Biden 81%, Clinton 79%, Paul 45%, and Bloomberg 41% (wtf?).

The only person to get a 0% was Herman Cain.

Either he's freakishly in line with the American people, or he owns the web site. I had to Google him myself; he's evidently the Libertarian candidate in 2008 and is clearly hoping to be their candidate in 2012. I usually vote Libertarian but didn't in '04 or '08 so I never bothered to learn about the Libertarian candidate.

I'm gonna have to agree that the 96% I got matching Obama might be true for him in 2008, but in practice he's been more Republican than Democrat that I've seen. Amusing that no one got a closer match than I did though. Then again from what I've seen I doubt I'll ever vote Republican in my life, and Obama will be the Democrat candidate.

Who is Wayne Allyn Root. He places in the top 5 of just about every one of the results listed, and I've never heard of him?
