so i got Chivalry and I suck at the tutorials lol...i can't even pass the advanced training. i get to the point where they say to do a feint and I'm stuck. It says to press q mid wind up... i can sort of get him to stop the attack but the screen never changes to anything different.

Same. I gave up and just dived into MP instead. Fun.

Skyrim is well worth it. I bought it at launch and it's the first Elder Scrolls game I've played to completion. I played 80 hours and enjoyed all of it so you are defiantly going to get your moneys worth.
Oh no doubt. I've loved the ES games since Daggerfall. But my sense of cost has been perverted by Steam sales. Anything over $5 for a game has me second guessing myself. But I had set an arbitrary threshold of $20 for Skyrim, and this is close enough, so Merry Christmas to me.

I might even grab Dawnguard for $10 if it dips that low (last day of sale maybe).

Same. I gave up and just dived into MP instead. Fun.
Is it just random button mashing like some have reported?

Well, not exactly. In the heat of the battle and surrounded by enemies, it could be.
You will run out of stamina if you just wildly swing your sword.
Slow down a little, watch for your enemy's move, dodge/block the attack, and then strike.

I usually do the kick/swing combo. Though, it's quite satisfying to charge down the battlefield and cut your enemy's head off with one swift swing.

I was debating whether to get it or not but this video convinced me:

Like most DLC missions, it's short. But it's just more of the base game, so that makes it worth it in my book. It's one of the few DLC for any game that I actually completed.
My friend was saying that it's good. Actually he said it took like 6-8 hours to complete The Missing Link. He probably goes a bit slower than most (exploring) but still sounds like more than just a little mission or two.

I'm going to get it now too. I have the two little DLC things but didn't buy that last year around this time when I got Deus Ex HR for 75% off. Actually finally got around to playing it a couple weeks ago. It's great.

Nothing too interesting in the flash deals. Universe Sanbox looks interesting, but nothing I would invest too much time into. I don't tend to stick with games that don't have hard goals.

I did so well to resist all the good deals today except for Universe Sandbox. But then I finally saw this:

Galaxy on Fire 2™ Full HD at greenmangaming
use GMG25-G4VDR-0ZL4Q for 3.75 total

and then I almost fell for dead space 2 at 3.75 but that was origin. whew.

bad players button mash

but with 1H, it's basically button mash except good players can identify when a player is actually open to attack (instead of blind spamming) and know how to take advantage of that opening. they can also parry at close range

1H button mash is hard to stop in face hug range because parry timing and location can be pretty hard

2H, plenty of ppl button mash and get random kills with it but leave themselves really open to anyone with a clue since 2Hs obviously attack slower

footwork and timing is pretty important, but most people tend to just choose to LMB. I blame modern day FPS for this.

Deus Ex has decent graphics and cover system. Easily worth the price.

Still can't decide if I want Borderlands2. I never finished the last one but it was fun. Thinking Holiday sales might be cheaper. Hmmm....

I LOL @ CIV V comments. I pulled the trigger as a game I was planning to gift.

Anyone know if Killing Floor runs fine on Windows 7 ?

Torchlight 2 for $10 is a great deal, I would definitely bite if I didn't have it already.

I'm thinking about the Sniper Elite pack.

UK and USA time zone must be my problem then. As these deals on now, Dishonoured etc, I was looking at yesterday afternoon, expecting more today.

Valve's prices for anything (besides flash deals) always flip at 10am PST

Nice, CSGO and Castle Crashers both for sale. I think I might get a CC four pack (or even two of them) and pass it around to friends, awesome sidescrolling beatemup with a little bit of RPG to it.

$7.50 is the cheapest I've ever seen for The Witcher 2. Great deal on the best RPG made in recent years.
