So far I've gotten The Walking Dead, Toki Tori ($0.49), Intrusion 2 and gifted Trine collection to buddy. Figured that was about it for now and saw KeithTalent mention he bought To the Moon.

I can fondly remember getting my Rendition Verite to fire up QuakeGL and being blown away and thinking this Carmack guy can really churn out the special effects. After tearing thru To the Moon in about 4hrs, this Kan Gao guy can really churn out a story! Story nearly had me in tears at times and little bit later LOL as it describes parts of space shuttle u can't see that I was imagining in 1080p+. I will probably never play To the Moon again, but its story will be remembered fondly for years.

Left for Dead 2 cost me £3-4. What a buy and what a game. Online it's brilliant, most fun i've had in a while since the first Modern warfare. Should have bought it earlier.

I noticed Duex Ex is in the sale, and although i've not finished it yet, I can recommend it, very good game. Good story, and gives you a real illusion of choice.

Indeed, $5 L4D2 is one pint of beer I'll never regret passing up.

I just picked up SPAZ for $2.50 and after an hour's playtime it strikes me as an impressive amount of game for the money. And it's nice to encourage a developer willing to put out updated content free-of-charge (i.e. the bounty hunter expansion).

Picked up Hotline Miami, since everyone is raving about how good it is. I suppose it looks pretty intriguing.

Picked up Warhammer 40K for $15. SPAZ for $2.50 is a non-brainer. Mass Effect 2 for $6. OMFG.

If you've never played ME2 before you're in for a treat. The ME games are one of the few games that I actually have the desire to play over... and over... and over...

You get so attached to the characters, and there are so many different ways things can turn out each time you play.

Yep, I missed all the ME games. Should be a nice cheap way to see what all the hype was about. I picked up both 1 and 2 for under $12.

so i got Chivalry and I suck at the tutorials lol...i can't even pass the advanced training. i get to the point where they say to do a feint and I'm stuck. It says to press q mid wind up... i can sort of get him to stop the attack but the screen never changes to anything different.

Like most DLC missions, it's short. But it's just more of the base game, so that makes it worth it in my book. It's one of the few DLC for any game that I actually completed.

might need to follow up the feint with an attack

highly advise playing with a FOV of 120

since the game is mainly close range combat, the higher FOV really helps with being able to follow people that aren't straight in front of you when fighting them

think most people play with the default 90 FOV and some complain about experiencing weird hitboxes when it's really something they don't see at close range due to their FOV

with that said, hitboxes can feel weird but it's usually due to latency differences

120? Jesus, I hope you're playing on a 60-inch TV that's 3 inches away from your face.

A nice, wide FOV is good to have, but anything over 100 is over-doing it. 120 is just too much distortion for me personally.

Bioshock Franchise, i.e. 1 and 2, for £6.99. Looking at the reviews this seems like a no brainer. Was considering just the newer version, but seems a shame to ignore 1.

Picked up Hotline Miami and Deus Ex: HR + DLC last night.

I think I'm going to need to get a controller for Hotline Miami. It was a bit cumbersome with KB/M. It has a lot of potential, though.

Steam pricing is sometimes frustrating. The latest from doublefine is the mixed-review Iron brigade on sale for 50% off for $7.49.

But for $9.99 you get a pack with that, psychonauts, stacking and costume quest (all of which I already bought). Pack is a great deal.

The sales can be surprising at times with games never heard of. Sleeping dogs i'd never heard of. Now i've just googled Dishonoured which is now on sale, which looks amazing. Would never have even heard of it otherwise. Perhaps it's time to start reading gaming magazines.
