Not a big fan of the community deal method so far...Witcher 2 for ~$15 would've been a great deal, but I have zero interest in SR3. It makes sense for Steam to offer the deal they get the most votes for but, meh. I'd do Rage for $10 if that wins.

Space Marine is worth it. There is a demo on Steam if you want to check it out. The entire time I played the game I had a giant grin on my face, it is just a fun game to play.

I just remembered to ask - is it possible the bundles will drop in price (Specifically, the Super ID Software bundle)? I've googled it and similar packages have gone for like $35 in the past, but they rarely list all the games it included.

Hmm... apparently the Russian Steam store prices are WAY cheaper than the US... both Max Payne 3 and Anno 2070 are only $9.20. :hmm:

Maybe I can log into Steam through a Russian VPN and buy games that way. :hmm:

Yes. The DLC (Wrath of the Lamb and the soundtrack) are both 75% off and the full collection is as well.

I don't think I've ever seen a publisher bundle as a daily deal. It may become a community's choice or a flash sale though. We can't be sure since those two features are new.

dont do that...

1) its against the steam rules...you might get banned for that
2) using russian VPN can probably cause you troubles since you MIGHT need to use the VPN everytime you play the game (that happens, for instance, in Skyrim)

what you can do... is to find a russian guy that uses paypal or something (there are not many, most of them use webmoney), ask him to buy it and gift it to you and you pay through paypal) ... that is against the rules too, but who can ban you for receiving a gift? ... (btw, the skyrim thing will probably happen anyway)

be careful about that.... (if you find a russian guy tell me )

there is nothing wrong with activating russian versions of games...most of the time...do a little googling, there are a couple games that you wont be able to play if they are russian version (there are like 10 games probably)

From the last three holiday sales I saw, the bundles did not reduce past what I saw on the first day.

2009 - id and unreal packs went for something like 75% - 85% off

On the id pack, the games equaled out to something like $1.25 each.

2010 and 2011, the packs were only about 50% off. After quake 4 was added to the id pack, the price went up.

2009 was probably the best steam sale I have seen in a long long time.

I don't know for sure, but I imagine it gives you a code to put into the Tribes client, at least that would be my guess.

I bought the starter pack. Everything's applied automatically. I logged into my Tribes account and the extra gold was added and everything. (If memory serves correctly, I think..)
