So Metro 2033 is £3.75. I hear graphically it's great.

It's not jumpy like Dead Space is it? i dislike very jumpy games, but I hear lots of praise for metro on here.

Review said a bit too dark too brightness wise always underground.

Thoughts?

Guys - quick question. I already have Batman: AC but bought a physcial copy... There must've been some good reason for not getting on Steam. Anyways, seems like I can't activate this key on Steam... so does that mean I can't play say Harley Quinn's Revenge DLC if I buy it on Steam, right? If not, bummer! It's dirt cheap.

Steam won't let you buy DLC if you don't own the base game on Steam. I tried this with the Assassin's Creed: Revelations DLC and it wouldn't let me.

Like going to an AA meeting and asking if anyone else has a drinking problem.

I see the same things I've come up with from others here, from the 'golden rule' in Kaotic's thread to saying 'game collecting is a game itself - the main one you play'.

At higher levels, you count the number of times you accidentally re-buy the same game.

Hell, for just one story, I was up to three of four purchases of the original Star Wars MMO - box, steam, box CE, etc. - and never even installed one before the servers were closed.

During the last half hour before the sale switches, it shows the total votes. Sort of - one vote, the game with the most votes didn't win. Steam is 'looking into that'.

I mentioned it a bit earlier in the thread, but I prefer Orcs Must Die! over Sanctum. I found Sanctum somewhat slower paced and not nearly as much fun because of it. Also, the fact that the maps tended to be the same on either side going to a central point lead to constant switching. In Orcs Must Die!, you typically have a convergence point that would lead to the portal.

I wish I would've purchased MW3 when it was on sale, it's been the only thing that has appealed to me :\... Maybe it will go on sale again, it didn't make it through the vote-able sale sadly either.

No worries. I'm betting they'll be a "recap" day on the 22nd (last day of the sale) and you'll see it on sale again.

OMD is better but I really enjoyed Sanctum as well. It is a slower paced game but I found it to be fun and challenging at times. It isn't like OMD where you can get away without attacking much, in Sanctum you have to as some monsters have weakness only in certain spots and your towers wont be able to hit that spot constantly

I'd highly recommend playing AA first, then AC. If you play AC first, AA won't be as fun I don't think, as AC is basically a highly polished, tweaked, souped up version of AA.

LOL, that's kind of an argument for not buying AA at all, actually.

I played AA, and while it was cool at first, I got bored pretty quickly. AC is much, much better. No reason in my mind to buy AA if you don't have either.

Basically, what I'm saying, is that AA is a Ferrari... amazing, exhilarating, and an awesome thing to experience in its own right. AC is that same Ferrari (many similarities) but with nitrous, an upgraded turbo charger, improved suspension, tires, etc., to take that already awesome thing to an even higher level of greatness. If you start off in the souped-up Ferrari, the regular Ferrari (even though it's awesome) will seem bland in comparison.

If you experience AA first, you'll love it, but you won't love it as much if you try to experience it after AC. So, don't miss out on the original, awesome experience AA will provide by jumping straight into AC. That's my recommendation anyway, from my personal experience.
