Is there a visual overhaul mod or anything for Thief: Deadly Shadows? I heard good things about the series, but I am a little superficial these days when it comes to games.

Its not superficial to not want your eyes to bleed. This is a great question actually, I'd likely buy the game if there was a graphics mod out there.

It would be awesome if Steam would do a build-your-own indie bundle. The bundles so far had a good title here or there, but none had a majority of games that seemed interesting.

Its cheap enough that I took a chance on it. I did the same thing with the Stalker bundle, and it turns out there are "Complete" mods which updates the graphics and fixes bugs.

The STALKER Bundle For $11.19 is like "Stealing"

Guys, I just found this awesome program (thanks to someone in the Cheapassgamer forums) that will give you back a fair bit of space in your HD. I'm sure like me many of you have a HD dedicated to just Steam and probably have a lot of games installed, well this program goes through and deletes all the redundent stuff Steam downloads for each game you download (you know like those VC Redist, DirectX, etc installers)

I did it on my 1TB drive that is nearly full of Steam games and it cleared up 13.5GB
Here is the page, easy to use
http://steamcleaner.tikione.fr/en/
Only one tip, when you find your Steam directory just select the Steam folder and don't select the steamapps folder (the program wont see it otherwise for some reason)

Freed up 2 gig. Well worth it, nice find!

Purchases thus far...

Hard Reset: Extended edition
Combat Wings: Battle of Britain
Buccaneer: The Pursuit of Infamy
Wings of Prey
Saints Row: The Third

Stalker, open world takes place after nuke, above ground
Metro, on rails, underground, takes place after nukes

Same premise totally different executions.

Thanks KaOTik!

I learn about so many games I've never heard of during the Steam Sales!

NP, always glad to give the info out if I have it
If you do end up buying the games (highly recommend them both lol), for the Stalker games download the Complete Mods for them (each game has its own complete mod). They are magnificent mods that add a lot to the games and fix stuff too.

Yeah, STALKER has some amazing mods, and the graphics are actually quite amazing if you get the best ones.

Agreed. I haven't come close to buying any of the Indie packs so far.

Ugh...I really, really want to buy DS2, but I already purchased it before and I'm pretty bummed that I had it stolen (taken out of my vehicle while in the parking lot at the grocery store). If anyone likes TF2 items, I'll trade a bunch for a copy of DS2 since it's only 5 bucks. Have some strange pyroland stuff (rainblower and lollichop) and plenty of other things

Edit - I gave in...purchased.

I hear you guys, cuz it's FUGLY by today's standards, but I can't stress enough how good these games are. ALL of them, not just the original. They basically invented the "sneak" genre. Obviously this is all my opinion, but it's shared by many, on this forum and elsewhere. At $2.50 for the first game, if it plays anything in Win7 like it did in 98se back in the day, I really don't think you can go wrong.

EDIT: Here's a link to a texture mod, but I have no idea if it works with Steam, and the link actually seems to be dead atm due to bandwidth issues, but it was up and running as of Aug. 2011 (see clip here).

That would be a 75% off coupon, not the game itself, which is probably what you paid for it.

Yea just noticed, but it was collectors edition (which I didn't have) and it gave it to me..I think so it says if I add it to the cart.

Well, with SimCity 4 winning (my #1 game on my wishlist), really, the only game(s) I'm waiting to see if they go on a sick sale are:

Divinity II
Arma II (just for the DayZ mod)

Awesome that the vast majority of my wants have been on 75%+ sales :dancingpickle:
