Just picked up Stalker: Clear Sky for $2.49. I don't think I've seen it that cheap before. I already had the others from previous sales. I've yet to play any of em... hah

It's been a long time since Dragon Age: Origins has gone on sale. I've been waiting for it to hit $5 for a while. Purchased.

Dead Space isn't great because of it's atmosphere; it's great because of it's combat. There simply isn't any other game where strategic limb removal trumps headshots.

Zombie games try for this, like Dead Island's removal of arms to stop a zombie grabbing you, but Dead Space has the gameplay down, and if you are a hardcore gamer, you owe it to yourself to experience that mechanic, as it is unique and more importantly fun.

I can definitely respect that opinion. The combat was indeed quite interesting.

I hope you got the ultimate edition for $7.49, not the base game for $5. It's a far better deal, given you'll probably want that DLC.

That's one game I spent a lot on, my recollection is over $100 on the game and DLC on PS3 and then $50 for the 'huge discount' ultimate edition on PC I haven't really played yet.

I wanted Risen II, but the 33% discount just wasn't quite enough for that game.

I am looking at Game of Thrones_guide, though, for $30.

Fable III. The DLC's might be useful.

Fable 3 really isn't that good of a game. I finally played it on the 360, and I wrote some rather unkind things about it in the console forum. To sum it all up, Molyneux always gets these crazy ideas to try new things, but I get the feeling that he doesn't ever try them out or even think them through. To give you an idea, there are almost no menus in the game. Everything (from equipment to the map) exists in this small world called "Sanctuary".

I think Molyneux has an obsession with trying to be grandiose. I vaguely remember him talking (prior to Fable 3's release) about how fantastic and wonderful the Sanctuary (replacement for the menu) would be. To him, it's just an interesting and new concept. I believe that's correct, but he also completely ignores the impacts that these have on your game play.

I own Fable 1, but I've never played it. I've played Fable 2 and Fable 3, and the games get increasingly worse from what I've seen. The only benefits between 2 and 3 are the better graphics (which also cause terrible slowdowns when using magic) and a significantly better co-op mode. Co-op in Fable 2 is a complete mess, because both players literally share a camera and you play as some other henchman character that isn't even yours.

Strange as this might sound, I'd see what the DLC costs versus just re-buying the $7.49 ultimate edition while it's still on sale. Funny enough I don't see the DLC on Steam.
