Any value in that DCUO package?
Saints Row the Third is $10 on Amazon. Activates on Steam.
I own DA:O for PS3 (was feeling lazy at the time and wanted to play from my couch without kb/m -- preordered though for the Golem character), but I couldn't ever really get into it. I don't think I got more than a few hours into it. I never got Awakening or the content packs. Now I'm wondering if I should grab the Ultimate edition for $7.50 in case I ever feel like going back to it...I know I'm done with it on PS3, but maybe with kb/m and all the extra content I'll be lured back?

I don't know anything about The Longest Journey....but I voted for it because the guy (?) on their logo looks like Robert Smith from The Cure.
Purchased DA:O Ultimate - finally!
This was a deal I'd hoped for (well, actually I had hoped they'd throw in DA2 and package the whole thing for $9.99 like Amazon just did......but I guess I'll worry about DA2 another time....if at all considering I heard it wasn't the greatest).
When is the last day? I'd like to pick up skyrim.
Anyone have a lot of experience with Dragon's Age: Origins? Watching the youtube gameplay vids gives me a mixed impression of the game. I really don't like the idea of having to individually select what all of your party does (including where they move to) all while pausing the game. If it had a more fluid system (or just less micro managing in general) or an automatic setting, I might give it a shot.
probably the 22nd, like it says in 2 places on the front of the steam page...

Bear in mind that Steam's days end at 10AM PT the following day. So, the sale running through the 22nd means that it will end at 1PM ET/10AM PT on the 23rd.probably the 22nd, like it says in 2 places on the front of the steam page...
Did you play FF 12?
They can have a "gambit" system much like that. A list of "priorities:
Such as:
A) Heal injuried member >50% hp
B) Cast (magic spell) on target of the controlled players target <75% mana
C) Attack target with <50% hp
D) Attack target of controlled players target
Something like that if I remember right.
Or you can manually select a que for each person in a pause in battle.
DA:O combat is definitly more on the tactical side, unlike pure action RPGs. However, it plays more like Baldur's Gate type of combat where you only need to pause and issue orders when you want to. For easier battles you can pretty much let the action play out in real time. For the harder battles you will need to micromanage your party members. I think the tactical aspect of the combat is part of what makes the game so much fun to play. I almost never play games more than once but I have played all the way through DA:O three times and I still think the game is a blast. The DLC for it pretty well sucked however. I would just get the main game and forget about the rest.
No, I didn't play FF12. I don't mind keeping track of the battle like that, but micro managing 4 players while doing that doesn't sound appealing. The control system looks clunky. If it automatically moved to the next player, for example, this would be a lot better. I guess if there is no automatic setting I'll have to pass.
