Argh I just can't do it...none of the games left on my wishlist have been on a daily/flash/community sale yet and every dollar counts at this point...
If anyone is the "spotter" type and is willing to spot me the Far Cry pack I'll either pay you back at the end of the sale or afterwards once my next budget is in place; I'm good for it, just ask LessthanDan

From a Steam post:"INCLUDES SOFTWARE THAT COLLECTS DATA ONLINE NECESSARY TO PROVIDE INGAME ADVERTISING."
No thanks, I'm all set.
All it does is collect your ip so you know what region it needs to load ads for, and what ads youve previously had loaded, and these ads are only on billboards and such(like places youd see BK signs for anyway). It does not effect performance, it does not install spyware, and it does not give out your credit card numbers or your facebook account details, or that nuclear bomb youve been building in your basement to show your boss and this country whatfor, or whatever other internet paranoia you can think of.

What? Far Cry was a brilliant game and got glowing reviews, if you didn't like it don't get FC2, many people think it sucked majorly.I was not a fan of Far Cry. Hopefully the sequel is better for $2.50.

I must have put in 400 hours on the PS3 version. One of my proudest gaming moments was breaking top 100 ranked racers in PS3. I have tried other racing games on PS3 and PC, but none have been as good. I might as well buy it. I just wish they had licensed cars.
You can? Legally? How?
I agree, same here - I don't like racing games and loved this one on the PS3. Not sure how much fun it would be on the PC, gamepad might help. I don't miss licensed cars.
One thing, in a way a lot of the music was ok for the atmosphere, but I didn't really like most much (pretty much the title song was ok), and it got very repetitive.
One thing I liked about the game was diversity of map, city to mountain to coast.
The first time you hear Paradise City playing during the opening its epic, but yeah, it gets old. I turned music off until they patched user playlists in. I figure using a 360 pad on PC will be just as good, except I won't be sitting on my couch.
So many epic races where you lead wire to wire only to lose because of oncoming traffic, cross traffic, invisible geometry, or some douche clipping your rear. Or trail the whole time and benefit from those things.
Is anybody else having issues with game videos within the Steam client? They play ok when in the little default window, but when I switch to full screen, it's a total slideshow.
