Yes! Now is a good time to pick up Risen for only $5. It's a pretty unique RPG (although I didn't play it through very far, I need to revisit it).

Argh I just can't do it...none of the games left on my wishlist have been on a daily/flash/community sale yet and every dollar counts at this point...

If anyone is the "spotter" type and is willing to spot me the Far Cry pack I'll either pay you back at the end of the sale or afterwards once my next budget is in place; I'm good for it, just ask LessthanDan

I got you covered.

Yup, Risen, which I ended up voting for because of all the recent Divinity II sales, won - but the vote was close all three in the 30-something percent. Haven't they all had a sale?

Not a single game I've voted for has won. Seriously..wtf. On the plus side, nearly every game that was a vote and lost still came up as a flash sale for the same amount off.

"INCLUDES SOFTWARE THAT COLLECTS DATA ONLINE NECESSARY TO PROVIDE INGAME ADVERTISING."

No thanks, I'm all set.
From a Steam post:

All it does is collect your ip so you know what region it needs to load ads for, and what ads youve previously had loaded, and these ads are only on billboards and such(like places youd see BK signs for anyway). It does not effect performance, it does not install spyware, and it does not give out your credit card numbers or your facebook account details, or that nuclear bomb youve been building in your basement to show your boss and this country whatfor, or whatever other internet paranoia you can think of.

You should probably just stay off of the Internet; they be tracking your browsin!

I must have put in 400 hours on the PS3 version. One of my proudest gaming moments was breaking top 100 ranked racers in PS3. I have tried other racing games on PS3 and PC, but none have been as good. I might as well buy it. I just wish they had licensed cars.

Is anybody else having issues with game videos within the Steam client? They play ok when in the little default window, but when I switch to full screen, it's a total slideshow.

I agree, same here - I don't like racing games and loved this one on the PS3. Not sure how much fun it would be on the PC, gamepad might help. I don't miss licensed cars.

One thing, in a way a lot of the music was ok for the atmosphere, but I didn't really like most much (pretty much the title song was ok), and it got very repetitive.

One thing I liked about the game was diversity of map, city to mountain to coast.

The first time you hear Paradise City playing during the opening its epic, but yeah, it gets old. I turned music off until they patched user playlists in. I figure using a 360 pad on PC will be just as good, except I won't be sitting on my couch.

So many epic races where you lead wire to wire only to lose because of oncoming traffic, cross traffic, invisible geometry, or some douche clipping your rear. Or trail the whole time and benefit from those things.

I'm tempted to get Burnout Paradise for PC even though I have it for 360. I have put in probably 50-75hrs maybe and still haven't done everything due to just wasting time driving around the city. It just hurts thinking of getting all those same cars / achievements again though.

I think that song by the 'be your girlfriend' girl is implanted now, must have heard it hundreds of times... turns out it was a bit of a scandal about her stealing the song too IIRC.

Sadly, I don't know how to use a playlist in any useful way. Not much on MP3 anyway. I would like a 'real' radio type feed option, commercials could be ok to pay for it.

Those races... the hard part was just knowing where to go and not missing turns, a lot. You'd find yourself minutes on the other side of the map after a race, kind of inconvenient.

Be nice to have had a 'return to start of race location' option. I liked how you didn't have to do a lot with stunt events if you didn't want to, which I didn't.

Yep, fullscreen doesn't work for me either.

I picked up Risen for free after reading that post earlier, it really is just a 1 minute commercial. It was for some mmo looking game, Russian maybe? And an old ad for WoW Cataclysm.
