Wonder if Fable III is work $12...I did enjoy the second but have heard pretty negative things about the third...

Eh... that's a toughie, because it depends on whether or not you can put up with the negatives (that I've mentioned before). Essentially, the game is prettier than Fable 2 and actually has a proper co-op (Fable 2's is terrible), but everything else got worse.

Honestly, if I didn't play co-op with someone, I probably wouldn't have finished the game. We created The Legend of Pippy Poppy and I slew most of her husbands and wives. Don't give me that look... I killed 'em after they divorced 'er after we all had group sex!

Arma 2 is a tactical war sim. In the mod you run out of stamina and have to rest/eat. There's day night cycles. Limited resources so people try to kill you to steal your shit while you're hiding from zombies. That's why I'm interested in it.

It's in alpha so i heard it's buggy. Standalone game is going to come out eventually though. Maybe not for a while. The dev has ported it over to Arma 3 and he says that version should support 100+ players.

Zombie theme, but much different gameplay. Open world zombie survivor, where the greatest threat is other human players. You have to find weapons, food, etc, and the goal is just to survive. Kinda looks like the ultimate zombie game experience.

Left For Dead and DayZ mod are not even close to being the same as far as gameplay.

The only thing they have in common is the zombies.

If you just hate zombies then I see what you are saying....if not....then check it out.

For me..the mods atmoshere is its strong point....it rivels STALKER games as far as atmoshere, at least for me.

Thanks everyone for clarifying - I really couldn't tell what the game was about from the pictures. I don't think this is the game for me, but hopefully this has helped other folks who were interested in learning more.

Folks, that is some insanely hot price right there. I already own most of the games and put just as much hours into this series as the original Starcraft and more so than the 2nd SC. This is an absolutely must for RTS fans or those looking to start out and see what the fuss is about in RTS.

In other news - this Steam sale seemed to be more disappointing than the previous ones, and not even in the same way I complained about the last holiday sale. The last holiday sale had a lot of stuff on sale, my complaint was that I had already owned pretty much everything that was on sale that I wanted from previous Steam sales.

This sale had that somewhat too, but more to the point, the quantity of what was on sale this time around seemed to be far less than the last few sales.

Anyway, I still got 2/3 of what I wanted out of this sale, so it was good for me.

I missed the achievement thing for the sale. Sure it was silly, but it was also a reason to play some games in my library I wouldn't have played for awhile to come yet. The winter achievement for example for The Binding of Isaac, I had no interest in this game because the art style just turned me off, but I gave it a shot so I could get the achievement and found that I really really like the game and have played it quite a bit since then as well. There are some other games as well I had similar experiences with that if it wasn't for those silly activities during the sales I might not have played yet.

Sorry, but that game looks weak. Why is it even selling at all? Must be people buying the Batman bundle. Seems to be the only way to get Arkham City bundled with all of its DLC at a discount (all that alone is about $20). That's an annoying money grab.

I really, really enjoyed DayZ for the 2-3 weeks that I played it.

Unfortunately bugs and network issues became too much. I'll be waiting for an Arma 3 version.

Great idea and admirable attempt. They just need a better base game to build it off of.

Obviously the better previous Steam sales are, the worse future ones will be, since you're effectively buying out their entire catalogue of good games. New, good games aren't released that often, and if you're buying up more than were released since the last sale, then over time the perceived quality of the sale will decrease because there's nothing left that's good that you don't have.

I can't remember if I voted the first day or not.

I cheated on Binding of Isaac though, and I feel bad cause it gave me a bunch of achievements other than that one. I would have done it normally if I didn't read that it would take hours.
