not a fan of seeing the same games going on sale over and over either.

its good for people who missed them, but seriously, if it was a daily deal, you have 24 hours to buy it, no excuse there.

But even as of late Steam has been repeating their "Daily Deals" over and over on a fairly regular basis. I know that if I miss a daily deal, I can pretty much rest easy that I just need to wait a week or two and it will be on sale again. Not a big deal.

I seen no daily deal repeats.

However there were repeats in which almost every game that saw a daily deal, also showed up sometime before or after as a flash deal / vote and vice versa.

I meant during non-Steam mega-sales. Just the normal midweek-madness sales, weekend sales and whatnot.

SPAZ, Red Faction: Guerrilla, Tribes: Ascend Starter Pack, Trine 2, and Legend of Grimrock for a total of $22.20. Came in under my budget.

I swear it wasn't like this earlier, but now the Saints Row: The Third Franchise Pack is on a double-discount. It's now only $13.29, which is 87% off.

When it was previously on sale it was 75% off, which was the same discount as the core game. This basically gets you all of the DLC for $0.80.

Started playing it last night, I like that it doesn't take itself too seriously. Seems fun to play so far!

Ugh, I thought I was dome with the sale but reading your post just pushed me into getting SR3.

Yeah, that's what I liked about it.

At first I was like "Oh cool, it's like GTA..." but then it was more like "Oh, just shoot shit. No really... JUST. SHOOT. SHIT." *shrug* Okay. :awe:

I never considered SR:3 before, but I was amused by this snippet from the product description:

"Take a tank skydiving, call in a satellite-targeted airstrike on a Mexican wrestling gang, and defend yourself against a highly-trained military force using only a sex toy in the most outlandish gameplay scenarios ever seen, igniting a city-wide war that will set Steelport on fire. Strap it on."

Safe to assume that Sasha Gray's character is the one defending herself "against a highly-trained military force using only a sex toy"?

No, but with the game's extensive character creator, you could make something closely resembling Sasha Grey.

I was laughing a lot at the opening Bank scene. It just kept going from there. This was a sleeper for me, glad I picked it up during the sale. I'd been on the fence for a long time as I thought it was just a GTA clone. Reading about the shark attack DLC on this thread and some of the other blurb forced my hand.

Also, right now is the last chance to buy The Walking Dead - one of my favorite games of 2012 - for only $14.99. If you're even vaguely interested in this game, then buy it. It's incredible.

Uses the gameplay type from GTA but has its own style. It's fun. Wait till you start escorting a tiger around the city.

I was waiting until all 5 episodes are out. Is it that good? I was assuming I'd be pissed about having to wait. Love the show btw.

Depends. How do you prefer watching the show? Would you rather wait until the whole season is on Netflix and then watch the entire series over the course of a few days? Or do you keep more up-to-date and wait for weeks, or even months and then watch episodes on TV as they're released?

If you're the latter, then buy it, since it's worth playing the first two episodes now. If you'd rather wait though, then I guess I can understand.

It really is over the top at some points, and done very well. It's one of the better sandbox games I've played. There's just enough story to make it worth while if you like stories. There's just enough mayhem to make it worth while if you just don't give a shit.

The sale, the fact that a friend mentioned co-op, and after watching the Clones trailer, I actually went and bought the season pass DLC this morning too.

Is Ys: The Oath worth it for $5.99?

I thought so and bought it. Also, it's $5.09 (not that $0.90 is a big deal), but only for another 30 minutes and then the sale is over and it's back to full price ($15.99).

It's a fun game, and everyone should get the Franchise Pack version so they have the Season Pass DLC with its new missions.

LA Noire = Rockstar Community login thingy

Batman AA & AC = MSN Live ID Login

Both are annoying the hell out of me... are they both necessary for games to be running? Steam Login is not enough anymore?

I played Batman AA without it and it say by continuing my progress will not be saved?

Heh, avoid GTA IV. It has both of the aforementioned logins.
