Ya, I re-bought Panzer II and Panzer 3D on this sale...

Was thinking about Battle Isle Platinum. Looks pretty dated though, but nice comments.

The battle Isle games are dated, but they were fantastic games back in the day. I purchased that along with Settlers 2 a couple days ago after watching this thread.

I have to say I hate the steam sale....it's too addictive!

Guys, I just found this awesome program (thanks to someone in the Cheapassgamer forums) that will give you back a fair bit of space in your HD. I'm sure like me many of you have a HD dedicated to just Steam and probably have a lot of games installed, well this program goes through and deletes all the redundent stuff Steam downloads for each game you download (you know like those VC Redist, DirectX, etc installers)

I did it on my 1TB drive that is nearly full of Steam games and it cleared up 13.5GB

Only one tip, when you find your Steam directory just select the Steam folder and don't select the steamapps folder (the program wont see it otherwise for some reason)

how is Civ 5 for someone who has never played a turn based game(at least since Warlords 2 if anyone remembers that far back)? I love RTS though.

I think I'll get it, but should I get the regular version or the game of the year edition for $5 more.

Civ 5 is more accessible IMO (a good pick for people new to Civ). I'd say get the full version.

However, FWIW, Civ IV is low price and a more robust game.

I got deus ex HR a few weeks ago and have been playing it a bit. I'm not a pro at these types of games (I always end up shooting), but it sure reminds me of Mass Effect 2, with the space exploration missing. Plus, for a relatively new game that can push new video cards to the max, I'm not that impressed with the graphics. There's a lot to the dialog and plot, but technically, it's so-so. Am I missing something folks?

By the way, I played another four hours of Batman AC yesterday, and that game is just awesome and looks great without requiring the absolute newest hardware. Highly recommended if it goes back on sale.

Just select the Steam folder where ever it is, not the steamapps folder. I had the same problem

I thought I did.

It defaulted to E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam.

Update: no, turns out I tried E:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam and that works.

Who knew.

I feel like I don't have time to invest in games like Diablo anymore. After a long day I just want to sign into a multiplayer server and start shooting things.
