Any updates or final verdict for Almost Human?

Yesterday I read 2 articles about it. One said it was sure to be cancelled and the other that it was about to be renewed. I guess we'll know when we know.

This is surprising to me. I don't think Silicon Valley is that great. I'm giving it another week or so before I stop watching, but it hasn't really pulled me in the way I was expecting it to.

I didn't care much for the first episode, but now that we've seen up to the third, I think it has gotten a bit better.

Craig Ferguson is my fav late night host by far -- not that I even watch his show all that often.

Fox strikes again. With their awful schedule this year they decide not to renew a show that was holding its own.

That's depressing. I really enjoyed that show. It's a pity they can't port it to a cable channel that would allow a story to progress. Shows like Almost Human really shouldn't be on network television, those channels are still stuck in backwards story telling..

You've got to wonder what the programmig branch at fox thinks they're doing. There's a reason so many mock their decisions. Excluding cartoons & sports, this was easily a top 3 rated program for the network.

It's difficult to understand this. According to lupi, it was successful. And, while it broke no new ground, it was easily a better show than the majority of network police procedurals still running.

It was destined to failure when they started airing the episodes out of order. They do that to shows they don't want to succeed.

I think they wanted to air the more exciting/action-packed episodes first in order to build buzz.

tbh, I can't really blame Fox for this one though. the Almost Human pilot was probably one of the worst I've ever seen... I loved the concept, but two of us struggled to stay awake when watching the premier.

Agreed. I watched the first 2 episodes and thought the show didn't stand a chance so I gave up.

Well, that does it for me. No more new Fox shows. I took a chance on Almost Human thinking that Fox might have learned their lesson, but no. So, from now on I will not watch any show Fox produces until it has 2 seasons on Netflix.

One of the all time great tv series. I tried rewatching some episodes lately and sadly it doesn't hold up all that well over time.

Haven't looked at the actual numbers recently, but last time I did The Following started to slip a little the longer it ran putting it's average right behind Human leaving only Sleepy Hollow ahead of it for the scripted shows.

For other news, Mentalist will be cancelled by CBS but talk about trying to get another network to buy it (Cancelled by CBS more for need of open time slots than bad ratings).

Hannibal & Community looking good for additional seasons, Dracula looks to have stepped into the sunlight (this would be 0-2 lately for major network vamp showings).

I stopped watching The Following this year... the whole concept just started to bore me.

the only thing keeping me remotely entertained was the hot "twins" (one actor, two characters)
