Sounds like a lot of people are getting bank this year. I honestly have no idea if I'm underpaid or overpaid. I've tried to look at similar jobs elsewhere, but I get no salary range.
For me, it's because I get 4.2 weeks of vacation each year. I get 2.4 weeks of sick leave each year. 11 paid holiday and 1 floater holiday. And if I retire with more than 20 years (I am at 23), I get 100% medical.I don't understand why people stay at jobs where they haven't received raises in years unless you're getting HUGE bonuses or something. ...
Yeah, and while it's better than nothing...compared to inflation, you are actually losing money. While true, but I'm in the same boat as you (~2%). Isn't that like the inflation-rate/standard raise?
I did just that (talking to my direct supervisor before raise time that I'm pretty underpaid) yet I still ended up with a ~2% raise despite getting top (of my department) Annual review....
I'll be in the same boat. I'll net 8% but my medical and retirement payments will go up and off-set most of that.Yeah, and while it's better than nothing...compared to inflation, you are actually losing money.
I'm getting 3.25 this year, but supposedly our health insurance is going up, and if inflation stays at around 2.3% like it has been I'll be taking a cut again.
Like all other doctors I get a pay cut every year
35% + working 1/2 the year instead of 2/3 of it. though, 35 days at a time and the ~10,000 mile commute is a little bit abnormal.
That sucks for your wife.I got like a 2% bump (step increase).. my woman who's an educator hasn't gotten one in like 3 years. Quit complaining!
I don't understand why people stay at jobs where they haven't received raises in years unless you're getting HUGE bonuses or something. I've been out of school 20 years and I've never NOT gotten a raise. I'll probably get a great review this year but a crappy 2% or 3% raise. I wanted to ask for a big raise but I decided I am just going to leave later this year instead.
