I was recently promoted but was told it wasn't in the budget to give me an increase until my annual review. Promised 10% come December. I know I should be happy, but considering my company gives out 5-6% annual raises, the extra 4-5% doesn't seem like a lot for my new job responsibilities.

Needed to negotiate. My company offered me a promotion and offered 15% but I become exempt so no ot. I declined it saying I'd lose money. If they still want me give me 25%. They ended up close so I accepted.
