2013 Salary Raises

I received a 5% raise in May, due for a step increase in August as well.

Actual raises for COLA....0% as it has been the last few years.

Have gotten promotions though so ive still made more money each year. Also about to get a step increase so ill get a ~3.5% "raise" (step increase)

Wont hear me complaining though! I make good money for what i do and my education and I have the drive and skill to keep moving up the ladder

I was recently promoted but was told it wasn't in the budget to give me an increase until my annual review. Promised 10% come December. I know I should be happy, but considering my company gives out 5-6% annual raises, the extra 4-5% doesn't seem like a lot for my new job responsibilities.

Needed to negotiate. My company offered me a promotion and offered 15% but I become exempt so no ot. I declined it saying I'd lose money. If they still want me give me 25%. They ended up close so I accepted.

hmmm... i'm making well more than what the avg doctorate/phd educated make with just a BA, and that's not taking into account bonuses.
i'm guessing industry and location come into play.

Exact same situation here. They offered me 12% I wanted 25% we settled on 18% or so.
