I just finished The Walking Dead...the game has been in my library since last year at this time, when I bought it.

I see what everybody was raving about with this game....I did not think it would be my cup of tea, as I usually just play shooters.

Are there any other games like this, that I might enjoy....Thanks for any suggestions

I just finished The Walking Dead...the game has been in my library since last year at this time, when I bought it.

I see what everybody was raving about with this game....I did not think it would be my cup of tea, as I usually just play shooters.

Are there any other games like this, that I might enjoy....Thanks for any suggestions

Well, there's The Wolf Among Us (same developer) and Walking Dead Season 2 (and the 400 Days DLC if you haven't done that already).

They just unlocked the next deals and ugh, I hope they are glitched. Only one game on sale at 75% off and Far Cry 3 is up there yet it was already on sale for 50% off the entire time.

It takes a few mins for the sales prices to flip over, it has pretty much always been like this during major sales. And every major sale someone starts flipping out saying crappy price/this can't be right/etc.

Browsing the workshop, seems like a good bit of content--mostly campaigns more than anything--out there already.

I thought the rumor was that the Christmas sale prices would be the same as the Autumn sale prices. At least that's what was stated in that Valve "email" to the publishers. Who knows if it was valid or not.

I used to prefer BL1, but I have since changed, after going back and trying to play through BL1 again.

In bl1 you meet caltrop, he shows you the town, and after that you are on your own.

I never could figure out how to activate the special skills of the bl2 players.

bl2 seemed scripted - do this, then do that, then that, then that,,,.

If you liked the old SNES game then you will like this. It plays very similar.
The main campaign is very linear and not all that long. I finished it in 27 hours and that was with me spending plenty of time searching every nook and crany.

Overall I thought the game same fun and do not regret buying it at full price. I'll eventually go back and try out some of the fan made campaigns and probably even buy the Dresden campaign.

I think people were just expecting a holiday sale to go a whole month long. They broke it up though this year looks like. A Autumn Sale and a Xmas Sale. Pricing will be detrmined by volume of buyers I'm guessing but who knows. Even Steam needs to keep coming up with different stuff all the time to get buyers to open their wallets.

I think you have a short memory of BL1--it was the exact same. The only difference is that at the very beginning in BL2, you are following claptrap to one point, instead of him telling you to go do this, come back, then go do this. Oh, and Zed telling to go do this, come back, go do this. Both games are designed around fetch quests. They are not open exploration. The main difference in how this works between the two, is that BL2 is actually pushing a story along the way. BL1--no story. no real character. nothing at all. Still, fun game.

Did you stop playing after an hour or something? They are literally identical in design. I assume by "did not figure out how to activate special skills" means you did not even get to level 5 on any character, when you can first unlock them--just like in BL1. Again--exact same mechanic.

It sounds to me like you are commenting on a game you never actually played :hmm: (Not trying to be stupidly defensive about a game, of all things, but these comments sound odd, because you criticize one game for doing the exact thing the previous one did, and it seems you quit after about an hour.)

well, if that's true or not, there are other sources out there that can better these deals, as we are seeing right now. Again, I think the most recent summer sale was the only good steam sale of the last 4 or so sales, thanks to all the competition.

I would say the base game. Deluxe doesn't bring much content. The game is already pretty massive and fun.
