You won't be disappointed with most if not all of those. Ys: Oath is one of my favorite games.

Own both, but only played Dishonored. So my opinion will be bias.

Dishonored was my GOTY last year. I loved the game. If you play it stealthy/sneaky you will get a lot more enjoyment out of it over playing it more like a standard FPS with minor stealth/hiding. The levels are well designed with many paths to take, the abilities you have make for some really cool and interesting choices. You can choose to kill not a single person in the game if you want, or you can kill them all, your choice will determine 2 things, first which ending you get (you get the better ending for killing fewer people), and as you kill more people in the city in later levels there are more rats in the city due to all the corpses and they can be a pain to deal with at times.

Story wise, it wasn't really anything special, it worked and was interesting, the world is great though. The levels/missions were pretty good overall and seeing your decisions you made earlier (not assassinating someone) and what ended up happening to that person was a really great touch (lets just say killing them would had been more merciful ) Also if you don't rush and do play sneaky/stealthy you'll over hear lots of conversations and at times they will reveal the location of hidden items you wouldn't have found otherwise.

So if you dig and play games sneaky/stealthy you'll get a lot more out of it over just cruising through it.

Safe to assume you played it with kb/m? It's another one of those games that looks like it would be fun to play on the couch/big screen with a gamepad, but I'd like to play it sneaky/stealthy and don't want to lose the finer controls. How much did you use the hotbar? Seems like the only thing that can't be easily mapped to a gamepad. Of course, I could just play with a gamepad and keep the wireless kb next to me, but that's probably over complicating things.

The easiest way to see how it controls with a gamepad (i.e. the 360 controller) is to just watch 360 gameplay. A hotbar will most likely control a lot like selecting things in other games, which means you'll use an analog stick or something like that to select an item from a wheel... sort of like in Bioshock.

My general understanding is that you can get by fine with 4 abilities mapped to the d-pad, but I'm not sure if the articles/posts I'm reading are from people who played it with the same approach as Kaotik (sneaky/stealthy). Maybe you need more abilities to play it that way? Either way I'm leaning towards grabbing this one. It's been on my wishlist for a while.

Yep, I played 20 hours between the main game and DLC, all with KB/M. It is a very good PC port all-around. All of your special powers can be chosen with a pop-up wheel, so it will work with either control scheme.

There is a power meter that doesn't regenerate 100%, so you won't be spamming special powers constantly.

Well, that is until I saw the misuse of "weight" instead of "wait." :|

from the video:
In regards to the "typo" it's an ongoing joke among Half Life fans about how every time someone makes a joke about Gabe Newell's weight; he delays Half Life 3. Leading many people to start saying "It better be worth the weight" etc. I've been told Gabe made a comment regarding TF2 where he said "it'll be worth the wait" and this is the origin of the joke. The more you know!

video was hilarious.

well, i was hoping don't starve might go below 40% off. i'm going to keep waiting.

for those of you playing reus... would it be a tough game for an 8 year old to play in your opinion?

Picked up Reus last night. i blew it off at first, but came back to it since the trailer made it look interesting.

4 hours later i really had to get to bed. Its surprisingly fun. kinda feels a little grindy to unlock all the new content and achievements in game, but i really like the premise. Its funny as hell to watch one village get greedy and march on another village. And even more giggle worthy to use one of your giants to take out the invading horde.

its a really neat game.

possibly. i dunno if i can see my 8 year old playing it. may be just a tad out of his league, and vocabulary for some of the words.

Looking at her inventory and everything, it looks like she's a TF2 mass account idler, which would explain a lot. She has almost 4k items in her inventory.

1744 games, 2 recommendations. hmm...does she like any of these games that she plays?

How and where do you actually sell cards and other items? I have some Borderlands 2 cards as well as a bunch of vintage weapons from TF2 (which I never play). Are they worth anything? I can't figure it out.

EDIT: Found out, you go to http://steamcommunity.com/market/

Put all my stuff up for sale. Now the only items left in my inventory (that aren't sellable) are a halo and a badge. Hooray for free money I guess, even if it's only a few cents.
