Great game but I am not sure what pisses me off more about it currently. The Walking Dead: 400 days DLC at no discount or my one perfect game achievement in my entire steam collection gone wo/ buying 400 days. :thumbsdown:

She saw me playing Reus (with the response "that looks COOL!"), and she asked how much I paid for it.

After saying $5, she was just stunned. "A bunch of people probably worked really hard on this, and you only paid $5?"

Currently its one of cheapest badges to get level 5. If sale ends and no more supply ever it'll be one of rarest / expensive level 5 badge to get. I crafted my Vacation Veteran level 5 badge cheap. I will be hoarding/ buying steam summer sale cards praying supply ends making them rarest cards in steam over time. Probably wishful thinking on my part. If they disappear from inventory after sell then I'll be in furious dump mode.

This. I've leveled that badge to the max too. Cheap. But once the sale ends, there will be no more cards created. So as people craft the badge, the supply will shrink. I'm planning on hanging on to a few, just to see what happens.

I'm pretty sure that next summer will just see the second series of summer getaway cards.

The first series cards will be expensive at that point. Everyone will eventually get a level 5 badge if they care to, and they won't have to spend money explicitly on cards.

If it's any consolation, having all the achievements just means you played through to the end. not exactly tough.

So... I just received 4 new games in my inventory. I totally didn't buy them. Did anyone else get Kerbal Space Program, Reus, Prison Architect, and Football Manager 2013?

Don't be blind, the DLC is like 50% off on other sites and has been for most the week. It activates on Steam. Not sure why everyone just sits around watching Steam as if there are no other vendors. Steam has made people uber lazy. At some point they are going to start taking advantage of that.

You should indeed be proud. Your fiance is one of the few people who understand that video games require actual time and work to develop, and the human beings behind them put forth much strenuous labor to release them. I wish more people could grasp how complex video games are as a medium.

I wish I'd jumped on the Civ V Gold upgrade for $5 the other day... selling for $10 now, and I'll buy it for all the DLC at the end of the sale, but I'm hoping it goes back down to $5 before the end of the sale.

I've already got the came and x-pac, but there's at least $7-$15 worth of DLC (extra civs, scenarios, etc) that I wouldn't mind having.

Yea, they are worth at least $5.50. You should be ashamed. Woah are the software devs they have it so much harder than the 1000's of other non office jobs that get paid a fraction of what they do. I mean..come on. It's not the customers that are robbing them, it's the publishers. Remember that. They are paid upfront and might get some royalties, but it is fractions of the penny on any game sold. If a game sells at 50 or 5 it really makes little difference to the devs themselves. They are more likely to sell 500k @ $5 and make a royalty than @ $50.

On that note, I've not played this game yet, but I did get it and looking forward to it with the positive comments.

Those are summer cards, not games. You collect those cards and when you have all 10 different summer cards, you can craft a badge.

What I don't understand is why people voted for Walking dead over Van Helsing for Steam flash sale... They practically gave away WD on humble bundle. I'll wait til 22nd to see if they drop down the price. Otherwise I'll just pick it up.

How is Ace of Spades? The reviews are pretty bad but the game looks fun.

I enjoy it but it has issues. I personally play for the minecraft aspect but with combat versus other people so in that regards it is fun. I tend to destroy everything I can as a miner and don't even actively search out other people lol.

That being said, it has balance issues between the classes. 90% of the people play as a sniper because the rifle 1 hit kills you. The player base has gotten pretty small and there is usually a few servers up but only a few that have a lot of people in them.

It is a fun game for what it is though and if you don't take it seriously and just play to screw around and have fun it is fun. Some of the maps are really cool and look great imo.

I bought it during the holiday sale for $5 and got my money's worth from it. It is hard to recommend or not recommend it.

Shows 85% ($.300) if it wins for me. I voted for Bastion even though it's been on sale 100 times before...I'm finally ready to give it a spin.

It's true. Even here, there was little interest in the huge gog summer sale, and people were posting a lot of games they hoped woudl go on sale in the Steam sale that had been on sale days before and posted here in the gog sale. And there is a risk as Steam gets too monopolistic.

I actually prefer GOG cuz theres no DRM and you can just download one big install file and use it as you like.

But their selection is shit by comparison. They have some nice older stuff I like but for the most part its meh.

If they could get Elvira 2 or Stone Prophet I'd be very happy.
