If you've put time into Fallout 3/ Fallout NV and Borderlands 1 and 2 then Rage will seem very empty....
That explains my experience then.
I paid $10 for Rage in a prior sale and think I could have better spent it on other games.

I picked up Costume Quest (Double Fine) and wow, I love this game. It's a great quirky J-ish RPG. Kinda reminds me of Earthbound. It's more or less in the same style as the Precipice of Darkness games (1 and 2). I do wish it had some voice acting, as it really seems to be missing it, but then..I suppose if the voice acting sucked it would take away from it.
It's a kids' game some adults can enjoy.
It's a light-hearted casual game with basic gameplay, hunting objects, collecting, with some simply occassional 'boss fights'.
I both enjoyed its fun running around and felt it was very grindy and tedious at times.
So I both give it a limited recommendation to people who are open to that type of game while not recommending it to many gamers. It's a 'take a look and see if you like it' game.
I don't think it's grindy at all, but yes, I do think the subject matter is one that kids would enjoy too. The running around is pretty par for the course for games in general and rpgs especially. It's definitely not for everyone, but fans of eastern rpg's (read not D&D type stuff) will probably enjoy it for what it is. I do get the impression it's not very long, but the different costumes for fighting are entertaining and add some variation to the gameplay.
for fallen enchantress, any reason tog et the original version?
Anno 2070 only 50% off... I got the base game for $18.69 over a year ago not on Steam, haven't played yet, now it's $14.99 on Steam... complete game $24.99.
Why am I so torn about Antichamber...I could see myself loving it, but from some of the reviews I could see myself playing it for 15 minutes and hating it. Then again, I could just wait until the xmas sale and buy it for $3.
PSA:
Anno 2070 requires Ubisoft DRM to work.
Buy it. Reward a great game for unique design. It takes a while to warm up to it but it's a heck of a game.
If I loved Portal / Portal 2 would I like this game? Or is it not even similar?
Got Orcs Must Die 2. Loved the first one.
Any thoughts on Cities in Motion 2? I never played the original but it sounds interesting and I got some spare cash to snag a few titles.
