Spiderweb software bundle is a good deal at $20 for everything, old type RPG's.

It'll end on the 23rd. Summer sales always start at 10am on a Thursday and completely end (all deals expire) at 10am on Tuesday.

Turned out it looks like it's ending on the 22nd, so it was 11 days of sales over 12 days rather than 12 days of sales over 13 days.

Then wait I'd say. Have you played the previous 2 Bioshocks? If so you already know what the gameplay is. The story and environment are the good parts of infinite, the gameplay was so so. Worth it totally just for the story though.

I absolutely loved the first one. I played a small amount of the second one and became bored.

Maybe I will try part 2 again before pouncing on Infinite. Thanks bro

BioShock 2 was outsourced to a different developer, and it wasn't made by the same people who made 1 and Infinite, if that means anything.

I just took a flyer on a game called Star Wolves. I've only tried it for like 10 minutes, but for $2 it looks might it might have some potential at least.

Not a bad game, pretty open ended. The version I played (reboot) had a weird hyperspace mode, kind of like an arcade game.

There was a great game called 'rogue'. It was a game where you went down levels in a dungeon to get an item, then go back up. If you got killed, the game was over; no save games. You could play the original for years without winning; most people did IMO. The term 'roguelike' originally referred to a genre of games that played like Rogue but expanded it. One was 'nethack'; and later there were a bunch that added a lot. They each kept the sort of 'ascii art' and moveement and similar gameplay.

If anyone wants to play a free roguelike, I recommend Angband, which is a Lord of the Rings themed version. It's a lot of fun.

Much like the first one but improved in many ways. Get to select different characters who use different weapons and they have a level up type of system that unlocks perks for weapons and towers. I like it quite a bit. The only downside next to the first one is, in S2 you are limited to the number of towers and bases you can drop where as in the first one as long as you had the cash you could put down as many as you wanted.

Thoughts about Sanctum 2?

I haven't played Sanctum 2 yet, but the first one is great. Basically a first-person-shooter/tower-defense hybrid, where you play in first-person, have a handful of traditional weapons, but you also have a tool that lets you construct various towers like turrets and missles and such. You fend off waves of enemies and try to defend a central point.

It's a lot of fun, although of course I didn't get very far because I suck at it. lol

Solid game and worth picking up anywhere under ten bucks. 60% FPS, 40% tower defense. I think the hybrid works well.

Co-op is supposed to be where it really succeeds but I've only played a couple hours of single player.

I used to play Sanctum where I thought my gunner couldn't run around like an FPS, I'd just shoot from the spawn spot. Seemed difficult.
