Sell your duplicates for the current price,

Which means people who did not participate in the summer sale can buy cards and make the badge.

My feelings, only people who were part of the 2013 summer sale should get a badge.

Did skyrim hit $20 during the summer sale? I thought it got down to around $25.

But either way, if skyrim hit $20 4 or 5 months ago, why didnt it go lower during the summer sale?

I got an e-mail alerting me it was 30% off and I think the standard edition is $29.99 now, so yeah $20.99 sounds right.

It most definitely should have been lower, while I was hoping for $9.99, I think a realistic price would have been $14.99 at this point. They're a little too greedy with that game. I think if they were thinking long term they should have sold the standard edition cheaper during the sale, then when the sale was done & people were finishing playing the game, they'd pay a higher price on the DLC.

Sure some would wait til the next sale or not buy the DLC, but instead I spent $0 on it so they got nothing instead.

I was hoping for the elder scrolls bundle to go on deep discount, but that did not happen.

Oblivion, a 6 year old game at 40% off.

Morrowind, an 11 year old game at 40% off.

They can do better then that.

Actually, even if you voted 3 times a day, you still wouldn't get enough cards to complete a badge. There were only 32 voting opportunities, so you could only get 9 cards.

32 votes = 10 cards, no?

Yup. And Valve got two "free" votes out of a lot of people....including me.

There is no doubt that Valve is making money (so are the devs/publishers) on this trading card thing. I have no problems with it.

But when 3 or 4 of those cards are duplicates,,,,,.

Lets say valve keeps this card thing going.

3 or 4 years from now someone creates an account, then they buy the cards from the 2013 steam summer sale, and craft a badge.

The person did not even have an account in 2013, they should not be able to have the 2013 badge.

Being able to buy achievements is spoiling it for people who are active members of the steam community.

Er, excuse me. My math was off. That's 29 votes, not 33. 3 votes a day for 9 days, and then 2 votes on the final day (since there wasn't a 2am vote on the night of the 21st/22nd).

not a bad haul... I only picked up the Civ 5 Gold Edition for $5, but a bunch of my friends bought Torchlight 2, so I've got some multiplayer action to look forward to in the future

I voted 32 times.

Thanks for voting!

You've voted 32 times.

Once you reach Steam Level 5, you'll get a card every 3rd time you vote for the Community's Choice Flash Sale and you'll be granted the cards for your previous votes.

For more details on the Summer Getaway Trading Cards, read the Summer Getaway FAQ.

You missed a couple votes. There were enough voting opportunities to get 10 cards.

Was that just the upgrade? The lowest I saw Civ 5 was $7.49 and Civ 5 Gold was $12.49 (this was the -75%)

Cool I got a foil card on my last day wonder if Prison Architect is worth anything. Should I keep it and wait or what, its not even $5?

Maybe I'm wrong, but IMO it might go up because in theory this is the only time those cards will be released... so it's a limited time set. So I say hold on to it and see what happens.

You're worried someone might be able to get those pixels to put on their profiles even though they didn't buy games this sale?

Spoiler: nobody ever looks at your profile.

You want only "participating" members to have the badge, but you are also bitching about participating too much (don't want to trade for missing cards), did you want Gaben to blow you every time you vote for a game?

yeah, that was just the upgrade.

I already had Gods and Kings, even, but for $5, the DLC in the gold edition made it a worthwhile buy.

looking forward to playing a game as Korea when I finish my boring-as-hell Venice game.

Look 3 or 4 years from now those cards are probably going to be worth over $1/each. If someone wants to spend $10 just to get the 2013 Summer Sale badge.......more power to them.

Besides, level 1 Summer Sale badge is for amateurs.....level 5 is where it's at! (Like anyone really cares.....).

you really care about stupid video game achievements that mean nothing?
I wish my life was that boring that I could care about that worthless, inane shit.

Since LE came out, they were pimping that instead of plain Skyrim.

You can trade the cards with someone who has extras of what you need.

BioShock 2 was outsourced to a different developer, and it wasn't made by the same people who made 1 and Infinite, if that means anything.

Huh, had no idea. That might explain it. I really wanted to like it, but it did not do much for me.

I think I will just wait and try to sink my teeth in to Alan Wake now that I am maybe an hour or so away from beating Tomb Raider and have pretty much finally finished Arkham City. Need to fight my way through some of these older games in my library.

Thanks for the tips friends.

My haul:

Alan Wake Bundle
Faerie Solitaire
Fallout Collection (1+2)
Fallout 3 GOTY
FTL
Serious Sam Complete Pack
Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed
System Shock 2
The Walking Dead

For my daughter:

Faerie Solitaire
Scribblenauts Unlimited
Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed

I ended up with some extra copies of Sonic and Faerie Solitaire, I guess I should sell them in FS/T. It sucks that you can't sell games on the Steam Community Market.

Also I'll put this here - Can you have 2 people on one PC playing Sonic All Star Racing Transformed? I.E I only need one copy of the game?

Thanks.
