How did you guys do on badges?

I went from level 10 to level 22 by selling cards high and buying low, in the hopes I'll get more booster packs, and eventually be able to recoup any money spent on cards, to use on games.

I saw a guy on Steam that is level 71. Didn't even think there were enough cards to get that high. Level 1-10 is only 100 exp, but it increases, so from 11-20 it is 200, then 21-30 it is 300 per level, so this guy has over 26,000 experience.

Hah, I gained maybe two levels. The only badge I made was a single summer one. Given my "reward" for such a thing was stuff I didn't even know steam had, I probably should have just held on to them to sell for real money.

I'm short one vote to get another card, but I know exactly when I missed to cast a vote.

My 50+ Skyrim cards I bought have gone from 15c purchase to currently 40c sales. Wondering where it'll top off at and when to dump them off.

This is the first Steam Sale ever where I came out with a lot more money than I started with. The War Themed Hat Simulator finally paid off.

I survived the sale! Didn't buy a single game. They had nothing I wanted really. I survived with wallet in tack!

It still boggles my mind that someone bought that. You have to wonder if they were screaming at their computer after accidentally clicking buy or something. :awe:

Thanks for the thread KaOTiK.

You're welcome

I am so damn jealous of that still. I would have bought that Expeditions Conquistador game even at 50% off if I was that lucky lol (yes still pissed that it never showed back up for 75% off after losing the vote grrr!)

I did get it. Wow, best game of the sale, so much fun! You are missing out!

OK, I haven't installed it yet. But I got it.

I thought it was rather "meh" to be honest.

Aside from Tomb Raider at $12 and Sleeping Dogs at $6 (I also caved and got Baldur's Gate EE for $5), nothing seemed too great to me. Certainly not for the vaunted Steam Summer Sale.

I haven't been able to look at these card prices yet, despite being on steam as far back as half life 2's release and purchasing orange box on it, it wouldn't start my unlock timer until the steam sale.

BTW listing your games bought list is silly, the bigger it is the less of a gamer you obviously were.

i got what i wanted, and i really don't have much time (or even the inclination) to do much gaming these days. it was a good sale for me.

incidentally i also bought a HD 7950 which in canada still has a nice bundle of games :thumbsup;

In order of acquisition as well:

Sid Meier's Civilization V: Gold DLC Only Feb 2013
Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes
Alan Wake Bundle (Summer 2012)
Hitman Absolution
Torchlight II
Borderlands 2 ROW
Sleeping Dogs - The Year of the Snake
Anno 2070 - Deep Ocean

Spend = $60.75. Could have stopped at my fourth purchase (Torchlight 2) but I regret nothing.

I'm sad to see so many of your lists without Kerbal Space Program.

Unless you really hate building things and open-sandbox play, you are missing out on one of the top 25 games of this decade.

Graphics suck, and then awe. Not casual at all. If you are a gamer and haven't played the demo, then you are demoted to 'likes games'.

PSA brought to you by 2x Charles Shaw Shiraz.

Agreed, Kerbal Space Program is incredible.

I didn't buy it from the sale because I already owned it.

I played the Kerbal demo. While I enjoy sandbox play, I don't have the time/inclination for something like Kerbal these days. That doesn't mean it's not brilliant. It's just not for me. That said, if they added some more structure, I might enjoy it more so I could feel like I was accomplishing something in the small amount of spare time I had to play it...of course, that might destroy the magic it creates for many people...
