Civ 5 has cards now.

Seen quite a few new games on the card list lately.

Spent $10 on my wallet to buy up some cheap sets, which has nearly doubled in worth; put together TF2 badges for around $1.50, and sold a summer foil that paid for all of them, and a game.

Bought McPixel and sold the card drops for more than I paid for the game.

Did a little speculating, and bought 10 Bioshock Infinite Elizabeth foil cards for $.90-$1.20. They are at $2.70 now.

I'm liking the cards so far. I'll be lvl 20 soon, and even though I did put $10 into the cards through my wallet, I've gotten far more for that $10 that I would have otherwise.

Saints Row 3 is the community choice. $4.99 base game, $4.99 season pass (3 packs), $7.49 'complete'.

Thing is I aleady have the three DLC packs (but it will sell me the season pass as if I didn't), so not much of a bargain - I'd have to buy the 'complete' for $7.49 for the DLC.

Brave New World is also on sale for $20.09, which is 33% off.

On the fence w/ Saints Row 3....rented it for PS3 a while ago, played about 30 mins and though eh, not for me....but had the same reaction w/ Sleeping Dogs - but I stuck w/ that one and ended up loving it.

To whom it may concern:

don't bother with Lost Souls unless you're a masochist.

You have to deal with GFWL - it took me 1/2 hour to even get the game to run.

Then - deal with resolution issues.

After that - good luck with your gamepad. It took 3 restarts before the game recognized my 360 controller, and as of now it still dodges me in the wrong direction, and feedback is extremely haphazard..

There might be a good game there, but it's buried under a heap of frustration.

Anyone notice a drop in card drop rate?

Last night I got 3 card drops in an hour (2 Stellar Impact, 1 Bastion).
This morning I've been farming 3 hours and only 1 drop (Bastion).

Also.....holy smokes have card prices plunged.

I would draw the darn thing if I could make it look nice like that with curvy lines

You're assuming games that are 75% off don't get further cuts, which is not always the case. So the image is correct: if it's not a Daily Deal, Community Choice, or a Flash Sale, don't buy it until the last day of the Steam Sale.

Historically, the sale pricing between flash, daily, and community have been the same, with only a few exceptions.

All I'm saying is that just because its on any one of the deals, doesn't mean its a good buy. But that is ultimately what the diagram says. And sometimes games get wrapped into bundles which makes them cheaper depending if you like the other games. Most times the games I'm looking for hit at least 50% off. You should have a reasonable minimum if your reason for only buying during Steam sales is to save.

Otherwise, why wait for the sale?

Personally, the Witcher 2 was a letdown. It has polish galore, but the fun factor equates to enjoying a George RR Martin novel... you can only love it after other people have told you how good it is.

Nobody will be talking about how great the Witcher was in 10 years, unless they are speaking of the actual books behind the game. As if white America can see the genius of some Polish guy; when RA 'rehash' Salvatore and George RR 'failed goth-boy' Martin are supposedly the 'bar'.

Is it just me or does this particular Summer sale blows? Prices are just too high, and not that many good games available. Maybe I am just too conservative or too spoiled.. Maybe I am just too "educated" when it comes to knowing game prices and where everything "should" be priced. Maybe I already have too many games from Steam.

Saints Row - everyone has this already. And paying for DLC which gives you a reskinned character or a few extra guns is a waste of money

Left for Dead 2. - everyone and their mom has this already. Given the age and previous availability should be like $2.50. Not $5.

Don't Starve and Hotline Miami - Everyone has those already. And Don't starve is way overpriced. I saw it for less before, and it really should be $2.50 already.

Bioshock Infinite - Should be $20 by now. Sure its a new game, but last year Steam put very new games at a huge discount anyway. This year, it's like they got all greedy or something. Besides, anyone who knows anything about anything already bought this game from someone who was trying to get rid of the code that came with video card. I bought mine for $19 and my case isn't anything special.

Antichamber, Defiance, Call of Juarez and Endless Space... - C'mon.. No one cares about those. Sure, they might be nice games, but there's better stuff to play.

Toki Tori and Skribblenauts - Stupid childish looking games. Dumb looking characters. Never tried those, might be good gameplay, but I don't even want to try looking at pictures.

C'mon Steam, you can do MUCH better than this!

Where the hell is Skyrim Legendary Edition with all DLC all for $20? That's what I was expecting. But who am I kidding. It's not gonna happen.

And Civ 5 Brave New World DLC should be $10 already. Not $20. I don't care. Whatever.. Maybe I am just depressed today. I had an ingrown toe nail cut and my finger hurts... Now I have to take antibiotics for a week... And I can barely get to work limping slow like that. I'm so angry. : (

I feel the same way about the Witcher. Got to the end of...Chapter 2, I think. Couldn't find the desire to keep going. I keep hearing witcher 2 is very different and super awesome, so :\
