I only recently re-installed steam, and in that time, this whole card thing was created. I'm slowly figuring out what is going on with that, but for now--we should be putting any duplicates up on the market?

Also....not that this matters for me at the moment. Steam won't let me put anything up because I havent' purchased anything more than 30 days ago within this year.

9 years, 100 games, level 8....what a bunch of asstards.

Is it just me or does this particular Summer sale blows? Prices are just too high, and not that many good games available. Maybe I am just too conservative or too spoiled.. Maybe I am just too "educated" when it comes to knowing game prices and where everything "should" be priced. Maybe I already have too many games from Steam.

But seriously... Day two of the sale...

We got...

Saints Row - everyone has this already. And paying for DLC which gives you a reskinned character or a few extra guns is a waste of money

Left for Dead 2. - everyone and their mom has this already. Given the age and previous availability should be like $2.50. Not $5.

Don't Starve and Hotline Miami - Everyone has those already. And Don't starve is way overpriced. I saw it for less before, and it really should be $2.50 already.

Bioshock Infinite - Should be $20 by now. Sure its a new game, but last year Steam put very new games at a huge discount anyway. This year, it's like they got all greedy or something. Besides, anyone who knows anything about anything already bought this game from someone who was trying to get rid of the code that came with video card. I bought mine for $19 and my case isn't anything special.

Antichamber, Defiance, Call of Juarez and Endless Space... - C'mon.. No one cares about those. Sure, they might be nice games, but there's better stuff to play.

Toki Tori and Skribblenauts - Stupid childish looking games. Dumb looking characters. Never tried those, might be good gameplay, but I don't even want to try looking at pictures.

C'mon Steam, you can do MUCH better than this!

Where the hell is Skyrim Legendary Edition with all DLC all for $20? That's what I was expecting. But who am I kidding. It's not gonna happen.

And Civ 5 Brave New World DLC should be $10 already. Not $20. I don't care. Whatever.. Maybe I am just depressed today. I had an ingrown toe nail cut and my finger hurts... Now I have to take antibiotics for a week... And I can barely get to work limping slow like that. I'm so angry. : (

Your expectations are way too high. Why would they sell new games at lower prices when they can get sales at their current price?

Has anyone done an analysis to the cheapest path to a badge?

I've got a friend at level 4. Wants to be level 5 (to get the cards from voting). Needs craft a badge to get the XP.

I'm thinking: McPixel - 10 cards @ approx. .12/card = $1.20 (less the $.45 you could get from selling the Summer Sale card you'll get when you craft a badge).

Despite what ibex says, the Saints Row 3 story DLC is fun -- the season pass that includes it is well worth buying if you just have the core game now.

And if you don't have SR3 yet, buy this version! NOW!

> Saints Row The Third The Full Package $7.49 75% off includes below

The extra $2.50 gets you a fun sci fi movie set of missions, some nifty vehicles, "and more!"

Sigh.

I have about 50 games I need to play and still bought stuff. Picked up 'To the Moon' and 'Hotline Miami' for about $5.00 total.

Damn you Steam!

I didn't even get that far into reading his post to make mine. I thought you were BS'n me and had to go read it hahah

McPixel has the cheapest cards I've seen, but the set is 13 cards. I just sold the card drops for this, and basically got the game for free and $.15.

I completed the TF2 lvl 5 badge yesterday, by sniping cards when they fell to $.15. This is the better deal, if you can get them for that price (8x.15 vs 13x.12).

Does your friend have his community badge done? That is free xp for doing things like viewing a guide in the Steam Overlay and commenting on a friend's profile. You can get 200xp for getting it to lvl 2.

Massive over-generalization. Definitely not everyone has those. And, if you don't mind me asking, where have you seen Don't Starve for cheaper than $8.99?

Bioshock Infinite - Should be $20 by now. Sure its a new game...

Right, it's a new game. Which is why you're not going to see it for $20 until probably the Christmas sale. It's a massively hyped, popular AAA video game from a popular franchise that just came out three months or so ago. Why are you surprised?

Antichamber, Defiance, Call of Juarez and Endless Space... - C'mon.. No one cares about those. Sure, they might be nice games, but there's better stuff to play.

No one cares? Another huge over-generalization. You need to speak for yourself, dude. Antichamber has had a very dedicated following for a long time, and it's a clever, well-made first-person puzzler similar to Portal.

Endless Space is a critically-acclaimed 4x space game. And though I haven't played it yet, Gunslinger is supposedly the tits. Even better than Bound in Blood, and an apology for The Cartel. You should research those games before immediately shrugging them off for no valid reason.

Toki Tori and Skribblenauts - Stupid childish looking games. Dumb looking characters. Never tried those, might be good gameplay, but I don't even want to try looking at pictures.

This is an incredibly narrow-minded thing to say. Your opinion has pretty much lost all credibility at this point.

And Civ 5 Brave New World DLC should be $10 already. Not $20.

You realize BNW literally just came out today in most parts of the world, right? Hmm... giving it a 66% discount on Day 1. Yup. Sounds about right to me.

Maybe I am just too "educated" when it comes to knowing game prices and where everything "should" be priced.

Your "education" is impeccable. Teach me your ways.
