It doesn't matter where your heart is if your head is wedged firmly up your ass.
lol

LMAO!!! The Marathon that's 2 miles away is at $2.99/gal. Though I'm sure you'll fill up at the Phillips 66 for $3.49/gal.

That's one bizarre thing I've noticed in the last couple years. Used to be we had expensive areas and inexpensive areas. Now it seems there are very significant swings between areas, much larger (percentage-wise) than before. Weird.

drive for $2.50?
Nope, drive for $5.

Just now, you get two gallons.

Oil at $85 and change. Gas in Lexington still between $3.12 and $3.17 (in my immediate area). I find it interesting that gas dropped to $2.99 earlier this year when oil was well over $100 per barrel.

I suppose it will 'trickle down' eventually (only to do the Midwest spike that it always does, lol).

That's one thing about running gas thread is it shows the pure bullshit presented by the Oil Thug supporter assholes.

Every one of their many sorry ass excuses have been ripped to shreds.

Local TV station Fox59 was so shocked by the 50 cent jump last night they sent Dustin Grove out to some local stations in the morning to scope out what the heck happened and try to get the latest excuse from the Oil Thugs. They started at a Marathon station around the corner from the studio on the Northwest side that went to $3.49 from $2.99 and he finished up at a station on the East side that was at $2.76.

They asked Gas Buddy why the jump and they couldn't give a reason other than the stations that haven't jumped back up will catch up.

It is because you're too stupid to properly analyze the facts more than anything else and since you're too cowardly to answer the questions repeatedly posed to you, I have to conclude you're also a liar.

NO excuses have been "ripped to shreds" by you AT ALL. When people counter you with questions, you cry and whine like a 4 year-old girl and block people. You're the forum laughingstock and everyone knows it.

What happened to the $5-$6/gallon gas you said would happen in the spring?

What about the $10/gallon gas you said would likely happen towards the end of the year?

Why is gas now below $3/gallon?

If some international band of "oil thugs" is behind this, why does only the Midwest seem to suffer these spikes?

Come on chicken, answer the questions. If you think ignoring us helps your cause, you're wrong - it makes you look like an even bigger fool when casual readers see that you refuse to answer simple, logical questions. But then again, I think almost everyone knows you're an incompetent loser.

So what did they determine was the cause of the jump? Can't be due to wholesale gas price as it's still holding steady or slowly declining.

Gasoline is traded as a different commodity

They couldn't find an answer to the jump which is why they sent Dustin out to ask at the local stations.

Gasoline being traded differently is exactly one of the problems that I have and one of the many reasons I call it a Thug Industry.

Filled up Saturday at $2.799 at Murphy's in Ooltewah. Woot! Raceway was also $2.799, and several other area stations were selling at $2.819.

Oh, snap!
(All I can say is I'm glad I'm blocked by Dave as this would make his head assplode!)

Privately, Saudis tell oil market: get used to lower prices.

LONDON: Saudi Arabia is quietly telling oil market participants that Riyadh is comfortable with markedly lower oil prices for an extended period, a sharp shift in policy that may be aimed at slowing the expansion of rival producers including those in the U.S. shale patch.

Some OPEC members including Venezuela are clamoring for urgent production cuts to push global oil prices back up above $100 a barrel. But Saudi officials have telegraphed a different message in private meetings with oil market investors and analysts recently: the kingdom, OPEC’s largest producer, is ready to accept oil prices below $90 per barrel, and perhaps down to $80, for as long as a year or two, according to people who have been briefed on the recent conversations.

yes i am quoting myself, from Aug 5th

so in 2 months gas in my area has dropped 67 cents. thats quite a bit.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Arrived in the Chicago area 1 Sept.
Fuel at local Shell was $3.89 - was scared that McOwen was influential.
Filled up this weekend at $3.17. With car wash option, it would have been $3.02

$0.70 drop in 6 weeks.

Yes, that's a huge chunk of money the Oil Thugs were stealing from Americans.

After last weeks 30 to 50 cent jump they dropped in 5 cent increments over the weekend and this morning now at $3.10 and most of the stations in NW Indy.

They obviously saw how exposed to their evil price gouging ways to everyone else in the Country.

I'm sure that according to McOwned you meant $2,799. THANKS, OIL THUGS.

This is why I like Spy. I disagree with him on a lot, but we both agree that McOwned is wrong. Now, if we could just get a a certain UK grad to jump in as well...

Btw, $3.39/gal before discounts here, $3.19/gal after. But with Ralph's discount at Shell sometimes I get $0.40/gallon with gift card purchases at Ralphs, so I'll be able to go to Shell this week and purchase gas after discount for $2.99/gal in CA! Can't remember the last time I said that.
