Pretty much stuck at $2.50 here, although there's one station at $2.48, but I wouldn't buy gas from it.

A no shit sherlock article but I'm sure most of my fans would disagree.

WTI Oil has been hanging around $77

Gas at $3 a gallon can't last

Brace yourself! Gas prices below $3 a gallon can't last.

That's the warning from the International Energy Agency Wednesday. It says plunging oil prices will damage the U.S. shale oil boom and cause supply problems down the road.

Deutsche Bank said recently that 40% of U.S. shale oil production scheduled for 2015 would be "uneconomic" if prices drop below $80 a barrel.

I can only wish. Went down to $2.71 for about half a day here before going to $3.09 just over a week or more ago. Finally got back down to $2.99 yesterday. I would be surprised if it dropped more from here even though it should with current oil prices.

Back to $3 + here. Tons of oil and below $80 and the Summer Blend to Winter so called Maintenance should be long done so the only reason they could use to raise the price is Holiday Price Gouging.

It used to be illegal to price gouge in the U.S. but not anymore.

Look, someone forgot to tell the Oil Thugs they are supposed be lowering Gas prices:

Gasoline Prices Will Continue to Retreat as Supply Outstrips Demand

Gasoline prices will continue to retreat as crude oil prices have plummeted and supply continues to outweigh demand.

A "perfect storm" for lower oil prices has been created and will not recover unless supply decreases in the near term, said Rob Desai, an energy analyst at Edward Jones in St. Louis.

That's interesting - I see plenty of gas in the Indy area well under $3 as of 8:29 AM:

I'm sure all my fans are thrilled their Oil buddies are price gouging for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Wait, so are you mad that prices are going up? Weren't you just mad that prices were going down?

I think I asked this before, can you tell me a price that wouldn't make you angry?

Gas prices are still well under $3 gallon. You've been McOWNED -- yet again.

Dave doesn't even know what he is arguing about. He's a miserable loser and blames everyone else for his problems.

The US Energy Department is coming out and saying that the retreat in price for gasoline is here to stay and won't be going anywhere, anytime soon.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/govt-tells-us-drivers-used-cheap-gas-050813195--finance.html

Meanwhile some are speculating (and others have recently speculated in the past 2 years) that the price of oil might continue to fall to as low as 50 dollars a barrel even as US oil production is nearing that of Saudi Arabia, i.e. we've reached the 9 million barrels a day mark of production (Saudi Arabia currently produces 9.6 million barrels). However Saudi Arabia has no interest in reducing its production rates. I guess they want to clear out the market which is going to hurt other oil producing nations. Especially Venezuela which is already suffering from a 60% inflation rate of its currency before the recent drop in the price of oil.

I'm sure this will somehow be very bad news to Dave. Those damned Oil Thugs driving prices down.

Isn't this like saying curing cancer is bad because manufacturers of cancer medications will take a hit?

The economy is best served with oil at $0/gallon (the environment obviously isn't). Oil is like electricity, like water, it is an overhead item. Irrespective of those who's employment is directly tied to its cost, the economy is certainly best served by having these cost as little as possible. Outside of partisan fools on Fox or CEOs of oil shale companies you'll be hard pressed to find many people at all who are not quite happy to be paying the least for gas they have in years. I'm paying now the exact same price I was eight years ago.

Americans are truly dumber than a box of rocks and deserve to be screwed by the Oil Thugs:

11-16-2014

They're Back! Gas Guzzlers Return Thanks to Cheap Fuel

A year ago, many industry analysts were proclaiming a dramatic and seemingly permanent shift to smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles in a market where the mantra had traditionally been “bigger is better.”

But such forecasts have flown out the window now that the price of gasoline has fallen to less than $3 a gallon in much of the country.

Instead, demand for light trucks has been soaring in recent months, while small cars and, in particular, high-tech hybrids, plug-ins and battery-electric vehicles, have been tumbling off the sales charts.

Oh mcowned, you'll never pull yourself out of your little rutt without accepting the undeniably good news that lower gas prices are good almost without exception. For every 10 cents/gallon that gas goes down, an additional $10B in economic growth is created for the economy, which is only good for jobs and middle class Americans' pockets.

Interesting. But I question the sales of small cars falling off the charts......according to data I can access, small car sales are up 6.3% for Oct. 2014 compared to Oct. 2013, and up 4.3% for year-to-year 2013-2014.

Source: http://online.wsj.com/mdc/public/page/2_3022-autosales.html#autosalesB

In fact, if you delve into the sales figures, true, trucks are up and holding the top sales spots per model, but trucks have always dominated the top sales positions in the U.S., so no big difference. And while true truck and SUV/crossover sales are also up, so are sales of the Camry, Accord, Corolla, Cruze, Altima and Fusion.

Don't see the data or understand the hysteria that the idiot's linked article brays about. America has always bought as big a vehicle as could be afforded.....why would it change now?

And I really question this statement made in that link:
As fuel prices have fallen, so has the fuel economy of the typical new vehicle, despite mandates to improve it.
I don't think that's exactly what they meant. It sounds like manufacturers are putting out vehicles that are getting worse mileage than the same vehicles were achieving a few months ago, which isn't quite true. The purchase mix may be different, but the vehicles still get the same exact mileage they did in June or January.

Oh, and gas is $2.45.

CAFE standards are still getting better every year. It's only going to get tougher for the manufacturers to meet them, especially for Light Trucks. Now is probably a good time to buy one if you've got the need for one.

$2.99/gal without discounts here in CA, both SF and LA. At various Shell stations I use, with the Ralphs discounts we're talking $2.79 or $2.69.

So..... despite McOwned being a single-voiced cheerleader for the Oil Thugs to raise gas prices JUST so he can then complain about it and scream "Oil Thugs!" at everyone...

...gas prices are still running under $3?

That's some strange self-McOwnership right there.
