Went from $2.98 yesterday morning to $3.28 this morning. Those oil thugs are starting to piss me off!
I don't know what the point of this thread is except to listen to Dave's wildly inaccurate predictions
I really don't know what you guys want us to say or expect to be done about the prices.
Do you expect the government to subsidize it or suspend taxes on gas?
If they do that, guess who ends up paying eventually?
If you suspect there is collusion and price-fixing going on, write your Congress representatives and ask for an investigation.
Investigations are a joke and you know it.
The Wolf is in charge of the Henhouse.
Many factors affect the price but supply and demand does still play a large role.Speaking of jokes, the joke is on the American people.
See my sig. The Oil Thugs have no incentive to behave properly.
They use breakdowns as an excuse to raise prices all the time with no real danger of running out of product.
They don't follow normal market conditions or supply and demand anymore.
Where did it say I approve? If you know they tend to raise prices on certain days, here is a big clue -- buy on a different day.Just the mere fact that you admit they raise prices on the weekend shows proof of price gouging the American public on a weekly basis yet you approve?
You still haven't answered what can be done about it. Based on your answer to my suggestion of writing Congress, your answer appears to be "nothing." So stop your bitching. Why is that? Oh because you speak as if you have a hand in the being an Oil Thug yourself and maybe one that actually gets to raise the price on the weekend.
You have pointed out absolutely nothing that wasn't already obvious to anyone with any knowledge or common sense. Where you continue to fall down is your absurd predictions, rage, omission of facts, etc. It's a Cartel plain and simple and I am simply pointing out the obvious while you and your buds try and cover it up with powdered sugar and a cherry on top.
That's the point of this thread.
You mean like you were right about $5 and $6/gallon gas this spring? NONE of your predictions have come true this year regarding gas prices. NONE. If the "oil thugs" (as you call them) kept hiking prices by 30 or 40 cents on a regular basis, we would've hit $5 by now. Why haven't we? Because gas prices also have dropped and you refuse to acknowledge that. You and your buds post for post what I post because you know I am right and I MCOWN you guys every day.
I guess the oil thugs hate the midwest region as that's only place that experiences $0.30/gal to $0.40/gal swings while other regions see mild swings or relatively flat gas prices.
Let's compare Indiana to Texas and Louisiana as many of the countries refineries are located in these two states.

Yeah, and guess what? Your pals (the Democrats) are just as guilty.
Where did it say I approve?
You still haven't answered what can be done about it.
If you don't like their prices, you're free to open up your own refinery and buy crude to refine into gas.
Delta Air Lines, which bought the former ConocoPhillips refinery in Trainer, Delaware County, to secure a steady source of discounted jet fuel, said Wednesday the refinery lost $41 million in the first quarter but is expected to be profitable in the current June quarter.
Delta said one major crude unit at the refinery was shut down for scheduled modifications, which decreased production
Democrats are just as guilty of what?
Your posts defending the price gouging Thugs is your approval.
Oh, so if you ran a refinery, you'd also charge market rate for gas. Who is the "thug" now?Regulation, like it used to be before your buddy Bush got rid of all regulation.
Delta Airlines did just that. Your Oil buddies were going to shut down a perfectly fine refinery in Pennsylvania just to jack up prices even more when Delta grew a set of balls and bought it for themselves. Interesting how a small set of Corporate Execs went against the others. They've been pretty quiet since I wonder why. Could it be they shut them up?
If I was able to open a Refinery you bet I would. It is obviously liquid gold under the current unregulated Thug run Amerika you approve of.
Ahhhhh damn, I thought only thug companies shutdown for maintenance/repairs or upgrades to raise prices.

You want the $50 bet.
Find a location in Indianapolis for regular fuel at $4+ within 5 miles of the I-465 loop.
Get it verified by a picture and you get $50. Maybe I will pay it in a fuel card :hmm:
This offer expires noon on the 17th of Sept 2014 Eastern Daylight Time.
You have almost 24 hours to put up where the summation of your $0.30 increases are.
Or are you ready to admit that your are an OIL TROLL
McOWNED yet again. It really is like shooting fish in a barrel, lol!
Show me in that article where Delta raised prices on itself for this "maintenance".
McOwen refused to put up and ignored the challenge.
It was a easy $50 for him to put his money where his mouth is.
He can not operate on a level playing field.

Oil rallies as OPEC says it would trim output
Futures settle at highest in nearly two months
Crude-oil futures on Tuesday rose to their highest in nearly two months after the head of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries said the cartel could cut its output target for next year.
Gasoline for October delivery RBV4, +0.31% added 2.80 cents, or 1.1%, to end at $2.5588 a gallon on Nymex, while heating oil for the same month HOV4, -0.57% rose 1.67 cents, or 0.6%, to settle at $2.7563 a gallon. October natural-gas futures NGV14, +0.50% gained 6.40 cents, or 1.6%, to settle at $3.9950 per million British thermal units.
There is such a thing as supply and demand as related to pricing.
Taught in EC 102.
I do not see you giving away your services for free. the employer pays for what he considers your value.
Oil is a service; the market is the employer.
Once you give away your labor for free, then you have a right to expect that the fuel costs will do the same.
not that expensive to move, get a new apartment at end of lease, move your stuff. i have done it several times.
Not everyone has only a futon, coffee table and a couple chairs to move.
