UCLA is king of one item....# of championships and they have ONE in the last 40 years. I'm not discounting the Wooden era at all. It was the most impressive point in NCAA history (even though there were far fewer teams in the tournaments those years) but decade over decade over decade, it's UK. I wouldn't even put UCLA in the top few on a 'longevity' basis. If you're going to base it on championships alone (at any time), then UCONN is greater than Kansas as a 'Blue Blood' program even though Kansas has a far longer and better history than UCONN (UConn has 4 championships and Kansas has 3).

And if you're going to base it on "what have you done for me lately" then Connecticut is the king, no contest and even a Kentucky fanboi can't argue that. So which is it? Are you #2 to UCLA long term or are you #2 to UConn in the last 20 years? You're not #1 either way except in some magical timeframe that you invented that somehow includes Rupp's accomplishments while ignoring Wooden's.

I don't have proof on Calipari being dirty over the last 3 years YET. He always manages to run away before he's caught, so we'll see. He's the scummiest, dirtiest coach in NCAA history, who else has had wins vacated at 2 programs in such a short period of time? A leopard doesn't change his spots, so the question is not IF he'll get caught again, just when.

Kentucky has done it decade in and decade out, period. If you don't understand that (looking at the list I posted), I'm sorry that I can't help you. Again, I'm not discounting the 64-76 UCLA teams, but other than that one period, what have they done? You are the one looking at 'one small time frame'...I'm looking over the entire history of the sport.
