Is Calipari that obnoxious? I remember when old ass John Cheney wanted to fight him, that shit was hilarious.

Yeah, I remember that! I didn't understand why John Cheney was pissed at him but the more Calipari talks, the more you realize he's just obnoxious. He's a damn good coach, though. Certainly not the first great coach to be a dick in person. I just can't listen to him talk ever again.

That's a new trend now, someone will get a tattoo declaring a team national champions before it happens...and they get tons of media coverage. Doesn't make the person any less of a dope, though

We all wish our bracket looked like this guy's! As if it wasn't pristine enough he also picked Mercer over Duke.

Damn, so much hate for the UK team. Sometimes I think the haters put more energy into talking shit on the internet as the fans do rooting the team on. You guys know it's just a basketball game, right?

UK played horribly last night, which is fine, since the vast majority of us expected this type of game against Wichita State 5 games ago. I don't think UConn was impressive either overall, they seemed to follow the same type of over-achieving status of UK over this tournament run, somebody had to lose.

I guess it really just depends on how you define a damn good coach though. He's definitely the best recruiter out there. I would argue that most of us could have done as good of a regular season job as him by just throwing his roster out there and telling them to play pick up ball.

Both sides are denying it today, so he probably is.

Haha, for sure. Would not surprise me at all, just odd that Chapman said it was a done deal but there was nothing else confirming (at least that I saw).

Took me a bit to figure out my bracket score since yahoo fuked my In group one. Per picks I'd be one away from second, but mine got blown up good in the elite 8 round so points wise it comes in around fifth

Looks like I got 3rd in the CBS bracket. Not bad. Same bracket that got me the win in my money league though.

I liked UK in the Pitino days, because he is a class act.

Calipari is and always has been scum. I tend to dislike any institution covered in his slime trail.

1st...Congrats to UConn (men and women). Was a great run for UK, especially with as bad as we were playing going into the tournaments. Came up short but I bet there are about 350+ teams out there that would have traded their position for our's!

The "King" is the one wearing the crown.

I'll give UConn credit for being the "King" of the last 15 years (4 out of 15 is damn impressive) and this year too, but all time, UK is the "King". Before you go spout that UCLA is the king, just look at that one championship in the last 40 years and say "what have you done for me lately?".

I'll leave it with a quote from the late (and great) Al McGuire....

Kentucky Basketball: The Tradition
"They had it before, they had it during you, they'll have it when you're gone."

Are you going to have to adjust that list after the last 3 years are vacated when Calipari skips town ahead of his latest scandal?

Kentucky is #2, but UCLA is the king, period. If you want to omit everything UCLA did in the Wooden era you need to be fair and take out everything Kentucky did in the Rupp era.

Your 1st point...prove it of drop it. I'm waiting...tap...tap...tap...nothing?

UCLA is king of one item....# of championships and they have ONE in the last 40 years. I'm not discounting the Wooden era at all. It was the most impressive point in NCAA history (even though there were far fewer teams in the tournaments those years) but decade over decade over decade, it's UK. I wouldn't even put UCLA in the top few on a 'longevity' basis. If you're going to base it on championships alone (at any time), then UCONN is greater than Kansas as a 'Blue Blood' program even though Kansas has a far longer and better history than UCONN (UConn has 4 championships and Kansas has 3).
