Woot, a Root Beer Making kit, never did that before cant wait to make("brew") it. And the shirt, so I just bought a Hoodie with that on it , and I've has second thoughts since in FL its not cold all the time so I wouldn't get to wear it as often but now this solves that

Don't feel like that. You give what you can afford, and it's all in the name of fun. Sometimes people get great deals on things too and are able to give a little more due to that fact.

I have no f'ing clue how you found out about my clarinet, since I don't recall posting anything, but I am SOOOOOO happy to have music to play! I have a skills book, but aside from that I tossed out all my music years ago. Time to have some fun tooting my horn and playing Star Wars this week

For those worried about what they got their person "not being enough", remember... The point of the Secret Santa is for the act of making a stranger's holidays better. Sure, some participants spend a bit more than the minimum, but it's NOT a competition.

Personally, I feel that if you as the receiver are disappointed that a complete stranger took time out of their busy lives (I mean, we all have responsibilities and other stuff that get in the way) as well as their hard earned money (assuming the $20 minimum is met) to think of them and brighten their Christmas season, well, it seems like you signed up for the wrong reasons. People shouldn't feel they didn't do enough, because you did something! As long as all rules were followed, do not feel bad. That's not what this secret santa is about. Never has been. All the gifts in this thread have been awesome and it seems like everyone so far has been appreciative of what they have gotten.

I say all of this without any clue what is coming my way, as I haven't received mine yet but have been told it's on its way. I know I'll be happy with it though, whatever it may be.

I agree. I had a watch and a mug I got one year, it made me so very happy and, for some reason I can't explain, proud. The price wasn't what mattered. As I reflect on it, it was that someone purchased something for me.

I'm the dad, I'm the only one making money, and I buy all the christmas gifts. While my wife and I figure out what we'll get "ourselves" for Christmas. As cliché as it sounds: it really is the thought that counted.

Well, since you asked... last night I spent about 3 hours grilling in bipolar weather (couldn't decide if it was going to be windy, rainy, downpours or relatively calm). See the Xmas Dinner thread for details.

Just opened presents a little while ago.

Maybe because it was on my Amazon Wishlist? I've been wanting a shop vac for a while, especially now that I've more home improvement work happening. Heck, my wife even said she would probably end up using it more than I will. It will definitely be appreciated and well used. Thanks Secret Santa!

I opened the second gift from my secret Santa.

I saw these bags at the store the other day and really liked them. They are exactly what I wanted. Between this and the bulk beef that I posted earlier, my secret sands this year knocked it out of the park.

I am absolutely amazed at what my SS gave me! He was thoughtful, and everything he gave me was awesome! So cool, and it is all stuff I will definitely put to use!

After many years on this forum, this has been my first time participating in the SS, and I couldn't be more happy. Thanks to MartyMcFly3 and amdskip for running this! I didn't know what to expect coming in, but I truly enjoyed trying to find things for the guy I was assigned to. And then to get a package like this in the mail completely blew me away. What a fun experience! Thank you SS!!!

First package I opened had these fantastic survival tools. I do not own anything like these, but they will all come in handy during my frequent camping trips! The flint and steel is awesome, and the pack survival pack of emergency blankets can certainly be crucial in these harsh Wisconsin winters!

Next I opened what is possibly the coolest thing I have ever seen! I can not WAIT to try this out. We camp near lakes and streams often, and this thing will most certainly be tested ASAP! It claims to filter 99.9% of all harmful bacteria and other things out of any water source. Straight to a glass for drinking. How awesome is that???

And lastly, the best gift of all! This was so nice! I LOVE it! A Chicago Bears warm up jacket, and it fits great...I have wanted one of these for quite awhile!

The HP TouchPad case will be put into good use, since I still have 2 unopened TouchPads. 2 Case fans maybe for a new system.
AA and AAA nice for the remotes I have. A DVD with 20 SCI-FI movies I've probably never watched. A Hanayama Cast Puzzle (Enigma)
which I'll figure out to solve. Markers and pens (which I always misplace), a Yoyo, Kitkat/Heath candies. Still unopened red envelope.

Those are some bad ass rechargeable batteries!
