After the free NBA 2k15 weekend I was really wanting to pick it up during this sale...disappointed the discount/daily deal still left it @ $40.

Grim Dawn is on sale for 50%, which imo is totally worth it. If you like gritty ARPG games, you'll love it. Same people that made Titan Quest.

Somehow I wasn't noticing it, but took a look when I saw your post and picked it up, lots of positive reviews.

Grim Dawn looks good, but I'm burned out on the genre after playing Path of Exile a few months ago, and it looks very similar. I'll keep an eye on it for future sales though.

But according to the negative reviews it still requires Games for Windows Live, and apparently won't work even in offline mode (for the campaign). Is that entirely accurate or have those reviewers simply not tried something that everyone knows about?

I need to reinstall Skyrim and try some mods- I played through the vanilla version and loved it...but that was quite a while ago

You haven't played Skyrim if you haven't played it with Frostfall. That's basically half the game mechanics; and it should have been in there at launch.

Requiem is the most important followed by Frostfall and IMCN plus all of the other related mods. Plus you have to add all of the content mods like CWO and faction mods to fix what Bethseda scrapped so they could release it on their schedule.

It becomes an afterthought soon enough, but it is always something that is there that will make you think about your travels. Micromanagement is extremely minimal as soon as you understand the mechanics.

I only died once or twice after setting Frostfall---after thinking I could sprint to Winterhold and swim across the frozen ocean--but the point is that it puts real consequences into this environment.

As awkward as it is to walk around in snow without creating footprints, it's just as confounding to walk around in a blizzard with a loin cloth and no shelter for about 10 hours.

Alright yeah. I've read more about the workaround methods if merely installing it wouldn't work, but it did (just tried for a test). I did have an account, but I was worried it wouldn't work specifically with Bulletstorm. Now I just need to download and install it, will do so later.

So far I've bought:

1) Rise of Nations ED
2) Shadow Warrior (Special Edition)
3) Bulletstorm
4) STALKER Call of Pripyat

Now I'm thinking about Age of Mythology and Alien: Isolation, and possibly Grim Dawn.

Also, Far Cry 4, why you no sale yet?

And this is what gets me killed almost every time. I always use the Alternative Start mod, and often pick the 'I was robbed by bandits and left for dead' which always seems to dump me somewhere around Winterhold or Windhelm. I freeze to death before I can make it to any settlement.
