The only thing I have purchased so far the BOI:Rebirth. I actually had the original but could never come to grips with the controls. I played a little bit last night with my X360 controller and it is much nicer in that aspect. I still suck at the game but at least I know it isn't because of the controls.

Such an addictive game. I got it during the fall sale and quickly put 80+ hours into it.

And this is what gets me killed almost every time. I always use the Alternative Start mod, and often pick the 'I was robbed by bandits and left for dead' which always seems to dump me somewhere around Winterhold or Windhelm. I freeze to death before I can make it to any settlement.

lol. I've never tried that.

Got Never Alone for $10 - platformer based on Eskimo culture.

Had that on my wishlist but watched some review videos and they say the controls are bad and the gameplay is generic, nothing special. Think I'm going to wait until it's like $5.

Alright yeah. I've read more about the workaround methods if merely installing it wouldn't work, but it did (just tried for a test). I did have an account, but I was worried it wouldn't work specifically with Bulletstorm. Now I just need to download and install it, will do so later.

So far I've bought:

1) Rise of Nations ED
2) Shadow Warrior (Special Edition)
3) Bulletstorm
4) STALKER Call of Pripyat

Now I'm thinking about Age of Mythology and Alien: Isolation, and possibly Grim Dawn.

Also, Far Cry 4, why you no sale yet?

Far Cry 4 is only like a month old, hold your horses. We probably won't see it on any major sales yet.

Do yourself a favor and buy Alien: Isolation though. Easily one of the best games I've played all year.

I have uncounted hours in the original, and over 120 in Rebirth. You are supposed to suck at the game at first. It is one of those games that takes practice to be good at.

So far in this Steam sell all I have bought is Our Darker Purpose. I'm waiting to see if Pixel Boy and the Ever Expanding Dungeon goes on 75% off. That might be my only other buy this time around.

I am hoping for a deal on that as well.

I picked up Teleglitch: Die More Edition at lunch today as it was 75% already. I suppose it could go lower, but $3.24 seems like a deal anyhow and I have been wanting to play this for a long time.

I finally started playing Tomb Raider the other day (purchase from 2013 sale, or thereabouts). Awesome game. I'm not a fan of quicktime events or that style of game design, but I don't know of any way around it for cinematic-styled games. (They really shouldn't be in the Witcher, but they are, for example).

Anyway, gorgeous game and worth the purchase for anyone that still hasn't played it (if it shows up on sale)

Agreed on Tomb Raider. Lots of fun.

Has anyone played Outlast? Looks creepy and interesting.

Couldn't get into it. It tried it on PS4. It was really generic horror that relied too much on jump scares and running around.

Depends on your taste in games. Gameplay is limited to moving about, exploring, reading things, collecting things, etc. Kind of like Gone Home, but replace the indie-hipster social commentary with horror elements. Not my cup of tea but plenty of other people like it.

I can believe that, I'm not expecting the gameplay to be much - it's for the music and information and story.

Outlast is exciting for the first hour or so, but it wears off really quickly with nothing but cheap jump scares, dull enemies, and an absolutely lousy storyline with uninteresting objectives (unlock the door! turn the two valves! find the power generator!).

If you want an easy, polished, simple to play "haunted house game", then it's a fine purchase for $5. But as a horror fan I can think of much better games to play.

To its credit, it is certainly a more popular horror game with the more mainstream gaming crowd. Just don't expect much depth.

Thanks guys. Think I'll pass on Outlast then. I have enough of a backlog as it is!

Is Endless Legend worth $18? It's high on my wish list, but I won't get to it any time soon.

From the reviews I'm seeing, people who like that sort of game say it's very much worth it. I bought it this sale, the deluxe edition for $22.49.

It looks really good from the reviews I have read. I am avoiding because it looks like the typical 4X time sink that is impossible to crawl out of.

I haven't bought anything yet, hoping a few more indie games go for 75% off. Looking back I haven't many games in the last summer sale either, I think next years summer sale is going to be a big one for me when all the newer games now will be heavily discounted.

Anybody play Papers, Please? I see that its got really good reviews, its been on my wish list for awhile, haven't been able to pull the trigger yet though.

Got AC4: Black Flag and started playing right away. Also playing a few other games I got in previous sales.

At last my backlog is shrinking!
