So has anybody played gone home? It's on flash for 2.99. I'm kind of intrigued by it.

thought it was interesting. for a flash deal, it's probably a good deal. it is a rather short game though. lots of cool music and 80s references. i have been conditioned for a lot of jump scares and whatnot in a game where you just walk around an empty house, and this really wasnt like that at all. more like solving a mystery.

Really seems like the daily competition is rigged. Diff team wins everyday. Now the only team not to win has already jumped out to a sizable lead half an hour into the new day. In the future Valve, just make it anyone who contributes each day enters the lottery.

I feel dumb about the whole badges thing, I'm stuck at level 5 and I can't seem to increase my level/experience. I bought a game and it gave me 2 cards, but since I hadn't bought a game between 1 and 12 months ago, I cant sell my cards either

If anyone can see my stuff, my profile name is 'dasos' and please help me out with a fast/easy way to level up.

You can trade your cards from one set for cards for another set, but this will take a while (it is easier to trade cards from the same set if you have doubles).

Another option is to buy the missing cards to make 3 more badges. That would cost 1 or 2 USD (depending of which cards you already have).

Pretty much. At first it added a little friendly competition, but now it's just a wait your turn type of thing. I need to trade some summer cards so I can make the badge on my teams 2nd day.

You are going to love Mortal Kombat Komplete. I picked it up recently on sale and its a blast. So much to do. Should keep me busy for a long time.
I also picked up the $10 pack on sale for BL2... as I already have the base game. I bought the 6th Character as well.

I'm confused... isn't MK just a fighting game? How can there be "so much to do"? Don't you just fight over and over again like any other fighting game?

FTL is pretty good. Needs mods though, which there are.

I too was hoping for a better Kerbal sale. Want to get it but it needs to go down more.

Sorry let me clarify. There are many many different game modes, unlockables both for Fatalities, Artwork, Clothing etc etc. Its not a simple one game mode Fighting game. This version has many different options. It has a story mode as well for what its worth.

If I buy a franchise pack as a gift (say Saints Row) but already have Saints Row 3, do all of the items show up separately in my gift items or is it just the single franchise pack? I could use SR2 and SR4 and gift SR3 to my brother.

I was a little bummed to not see anything worth buying (that I don't already own), but then I realized that I don't own any of the Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed (SART) DLC! If you've got an itch to play Mario Kart, but you don't want to shell out for a Wii U, pay $5 for SART! I like the actual racing aspect more in SART than MK8.

But is it worth getting BL1 too?

Borderlands 2 may look better than the original and be tweaked to play a bit better, but frankly, I still prefer the original. The problem is that they overtweaked the sequel to try and "make it more difficult" during the later playthroughs. They did this by making enemy health scale much higher, which made lower level weapons much weaker. To give you an idea of the difference, my level 69 Siren in Borderlands still uses a level 40-something Combustion Hellfire SMG. If you tried that in Borderlands 2, you'd barely do any damage.

Honestly, I think it was some commentary from TotalBiscuit that killed the game for me. He pretty much pointed out that Gearbox does a lazy job at ramping up difficulty. Rather than making enemies smarter, Gearbox just turns them into beefier bullet sponges. This gets even more excessive later on where you pretty much have to use slag weapons to increase your damage of your normal weapons. Well, it was that and the fact that I was already sick of the concept of playthroughs because of Diablo III, which had released earlier in 2012, and featured four playthroughs of the exact same content.

Yes. The DLC is well worth it.

Just like in the original Borderlands, most of the Borderlands 2 story DLC is rather bad. I heard that Gearbox actually shopped out most of the work to smaller studios for all but the last one (Tiny Tina's DLC).

No. If you buy a package that contains items that you own, you forfeit the items you already own. I know what you mean though, because it looks like Saints Row IV is far cheaper to buy in the franchise pack... if you want the DLC.

Thats about the only think I'm interested in with it. Several posts on the Steam Forums for it praise the story mode, but no one has any details as to what the story is.

Story kinda follows the 1995 movie, only with more character development. You play about 3 battles with each character and that slowly advances the plot. You have no choices, and you have to win every fight or else nothing moves forward.

You win points by doing the story mode. Koins actually. Which are used to unlock junk that should have been freely available anyway.

Theres also a ladder mode, and it gets you koins. Also if you do Fatalities you get many more koins.

And a special Challenges mode. Again, more koins.

Also, they finally added a mode to let you test your fatalities directly, which is something I've been waiting 20 years for.

So yeah, it is just fighting, but with a crapload of different ways to do it. For hardcore fighting fans its pretty much a perfect game.
