If I buy a franchise pack as a gift (say Saints Row) but already have Saints Row 3, do all of the items show up separately in my gift items or is it just the single franchise pack? I could use SR2 and SR4 and gift SR3 to my brother.

No, you get one thing called X Franchise Pack that will add all the games in the pack to your library, you can't break them up.

One thing you might consider is sharing your library with your brother. So far I've had a lot of luck with sharing libraries. While it says that if you play any game from your library anyone else playing a game from your library will be kicked out of their game, it seems that it only does that if you try to play the same game in the same library.

Story kinda follows the 1995 movie, only with more character development. You play about 3 battles with each character and that slowly advances the plot. You have no choices, and you have to win every fight or else nothing moves forward.

You win points by doing the story mode. Koins actually. Which are used to unlock junk that should have been freely available anyway.

Theres also a ladder mode, and it gets you koins. Also if you do Fatalities you get many more koins.

And a special Challenges mode. Again, more koins.

Also, they finally added a mode to let you test your fatalities directly, which is something I've been waiting 20 years for.

So yeah, it is just fighting, but with a crapload of different ways to do it. For hardcore fighting fans its pretty much a perfect game.

Oh, and they added Freddy Kruger.

I still remember playing Mortal Kombat 1 at the arcade as a kid. Everyone loved the fatalities but hated having to wait for the end of each fight just to try again lol.
This feature is a VERY welcome addition and one that I personally give 2 very big thumbs up.

Oh, and theres also Stage fatalities, which vary depending on what level you're playing. Not all levels have them.

And they still have babalities, with the usual stipulation you cannot block during the fight if you intend to use them.

Just like in the original Borderlands, most of the Borderlands 2 story DLC is rather bad. I heard that Gearbox actually shopped out most of the work to smaller studios for all but the last one (Tiny Tina's DLC).

.

I actually really enjoyed all of the DLC quite a bit except the Hammerlock one. I thought they were well done and fun.

What's the word on Darksiders 2? Looks interesting but user reviews are all over the place.

Still waiting for Child of Light to go on sale. Looks like I picked up Brothers a little too early in the sale, it's only $3 now.
Metro LL with all of the DLC for $7 is a great deal if someone doesn't own it yet. It's an awesome game.

It is a very good game. The current 80% off is the greatest discount so far for this game. It should be played with a controller.

Hopefully I can use my dual shock 4. Is shadow warrior good? And what about dark sliders 2? Never played the first one.

Shadow Warrior is one of the most fun games I've ever played. After I beat it, I went right back into Chapter 1 to play some more.

If you're into multiplayer though, it doesn't have any.

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons is an amazing game. It's not exactly repeatable though, and short, so you don't have to worry much about your backlog. One lazy weekend afternoon is all you need.

Note: If you want to read reviews, make sure you read the ones that guarantee there are no spoilers (and naturally, don't read the comments). It will ruin the story for you.

Oh yeah, and you have to use a controller, otherwise it's probably going to be a crappy experience (if it will work at all).

Thanks, exactly what I wanted to know. I'll look into the sharing thing too.

I have a dual shock 4 i can use. I've added it to my cart along with dark siders 2. Going to buy it when I get home.

Age of Wonders III was quite good. The AI is a bit weak but I got 60+ hours out of the campaign at least.

Picked up Shadow Warrior, been waiting for that to go on sale. Also picked up a couple games in anticipation of the Oculus Rift (Lunar Flight, Euro Truck 2). Kind of also want Assetto Corsa but it's not on real sale yet either.

Still waiting for South Park to go on sale for reals, also Tropico 5, Xenonauts, and Warlock 2 if they go cheap.

What is the deal with the team colors crap? I cannot figure out how you get points or what you are supposed to do or anything. The info page doesn't really say anything other than to "make cards" without describing what or how.

Brothers is an awesome game and is a steal at $3, but it absolutely does require a controller to play (as in you cannot play the game without one). This is because you are simultaneously controlling two different characters, one with each thumbstick. It sounds really bizarre but the implementation is brilliant.

I'm in the same boat. I have so much backlog, I don't usually mess with DLC. But in this case, it doesn't look like you have a choice.....I don't see the base game listed for sale anymore (only the "complete" edition with all the DLC).

Not true; I played it fine and dandy with keyboard this past weekend. Btw there is a bug near the end where they move the action key from right-control to a differnet key.
