What were the two groups and 8 games? I don't remember what I voted for, but I don't think I would have voted for that after voting for Q3 and UT last night.

I've been working my way through the Assassin's Creed series as they've each fallen in price and AC3 has now fallen to a point where I'm considering it.

The Deluxe Edition is $12.49 while the main itself is only $4.99. And then there is the Season Pass, which looks like additional content that is not in the Deluxe Edition? Perhaps this is one to wait for the Winter sale (or beyond) until they combine Deluxe+Season Pass for $15 or less.

Picked up seven games so far. Several of these I have been specifically waiting for this sale to get. Some I bought on a whim because $1.50 (Dino Horde) just isn't much of a gamble. So if it sucks I don't feel so bad about it.

Banished
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams
World of Goo (For the Wife)
Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons
Brutal Legend with Soundtrack
Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon
Orion Dino Horde

Loved it! Thanks for sharing The numbering system is backwards IMO (Stage 10 is the first), and I am at Stage 8 with a dose of Stage 5 in there.

Yeah, I thought it was funny AND soooo true!!

I'm definitely a 9 and 7.

It amuses me every time when I see "You Need a Budget" go on sale during a Steam Sale.

Ikaruga for 75% off better win the community vote.

If it doesn't, then I don't know how to help you people. Sorry.

Ugh, I was really hoping for Ikaruga to go on sale as well. Unfortunately, if there's at least one really popular game in one of the groups, it will almost always win. I guarantee that Comedy - Open World is going to win the next vote.

Dang it, I'm at work. But I'm waiting for this one in particular.

If you have an iPhone, you can use the Steam app to chat, buy, vote, etc. I don't know if there's an Android version, but there probably is. Anyway, that's how I normally interact with the sale throughout the day!

If Pixel Boy and the Ever Expanding Dungeon wins the community vote, I definitely recommend it.

There has been a lot of updates since release that have smoothed out some of the balance issues. TotalBiscuit's video is from a rougher version of the game and he seemed to not understand some of the mechanics involved. The developer is very friendly and active on the Steam forum.

The soundtrack is absolutely killer.

I have both Pixel Boy and Teleglitch on my wish list, so hopefully the vote goes my way one time this sale.

It isn't a daily deal, but Tales of Maj'Eyal has been 50% off for the entire sale. If anyone out there likes roguelike games, ToME is probably the best one I have ever played (and I have played most of the big ones). It is my #1 most played game on Steam and possibly the best game in my library.

Do you play with a controller? I just tried AC II and even with a controller it's really hard. They have these color coded moves that don't correspond with the colors of the button, which confused the heck out of me.

Is it possible to play the AC games with keyboard+mouse?

I like that ToME has removed a lot of the tedium of other roguelikes, and rather than spending your time trying to identify a bunch of random items you are instead building a character more like a RPG. Having skills with cool downs and the MMO style toolbar to access them is also a neat addition.

More than that though, ToME has a ton of different races / classes to be played. Unlike a lot of games, classes play completely different and require totally different styles of play to be successful. Learning how to build for example a good sun paladin is a much different experience than you would get with a mage or a necromancer for example. In each case however the game is very tactical combat-wise which I also like. You need some luck but generally death is something you could have avoided. The game mechanics are easy to learn but getting good takes a lot of practice.

Then again, rogue style games are my favorites so I am probably biased towards liking ToME from the start.

I used a keyboard and mouse. Controls seemed fine to me for AC2, brohood, and rev. I didn't have a comparison to the controller but I was able to complete those games (I skipped the original AC) without cursing the control scheme. I pretty much always prefer kb+mouse if it's an option even for the major console ports.

Never heard of Ikaruga, but it reminds me a lot of STG Strike Gunner for the SNES that I used to love

Ikaruga is an old arcade shmup that was re-released on XBOX Live a few years ago, and then recently brought to Steam. The game uses a light/dark mechanic that allows you to absorb the like-color shots and damage the unlike-colored enemies. So, while it is technically a bullet hell game, it allows you to circumvent the craziness that you've seen in similar games on YouTube by absorbing instead of making the finite movements to dodge the slew of bullets.

I played ACI and ACII with a controller and I know exactly what your talking about. It pisses me off that there is no wireless controller support in that game. Ubisoft went cheap when they ported it.

It's one of the reasons I'm skeptical of continuing to play the series.

There most definitely is an Android app for Steam.
