I don't care about those. Checked out age of wonders 3 but looks like no tutorial and very complex.

the in game tutorial is fine (happens by default on Easy) and you should get the hang of it soon.

Age of Wonders falls in the category "easy to learn, difficult to master".

I only bought the Two Brothers game. Kicking myself for not grabbing Deus Ex: HR; had it ready to buy and everything, I just think I got distracted by something. :\

Too bad Age of Wonders has no in game tutorial whatsoever.

Anno 2070 Complete
Grand Ages: Rome Gold
Warlock 2: The Exiled
Age of Wonders 3
Fallout New Vegas Ultimate
Space Hulk Ultimate
Europa Universalis DLC: Conquest of Paradise
Galactic Civilizations 2

Was hoping to get Age of Mythology Extended Edition but it only came with a 40% discount. Was hoping for 60 but I would have bought it at 50%, but with 40% I'll just wait.

The only thing I have bought so far is Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. I've been playing it for 5 straight days now and I must say I haven't had this much fun in a game for a long time. Its so over the top and the soundtrack is fucking amazing, some of the characters are really memorable and the boss fights are just epic. There are a lot cut scenes as its part of the Metal Gear universe but they are really well done, though its not too long of a game but has a lot of replay value.

Is everything in this game a bunch of lame sword fighting?

How's state of decay? Looks pretty cool. Kind of like a gta with zombies ?

I've been playing it non stop for a week or so. I like it...there seems to be complaints about its graphics etc...but I dunno, it's one of the few zombie survival games I like. It's basically a combination of all of them done sort of right. For the price its a decent buy. (and yes, its like GTA with zombies) and there is an endgame.

Sort of because it's basis is resource management, so there is a lot of scavenging. The piece that I like is that you start out with 2 chars, and get more as the game progresses that you can play and train up however you want once you get enough trust from them. Even if your chars die, others may show up, etc. Many of the sidequests get repetative after awhile as well but didn't really bug me because you don't HAVE to do any of them.

Thanks for the insight. I think I'll pick it up and I also checked out deadlight. That's a fun platformer type of game, same thing zombies. Reminded me of I'm Alive which I also liked and that game was way longer than I expected it to be. I hope there is a sequel too.

Heh...the only thing I wanted was Dishonored, but ended up getting:

Hitman Absolution: Elite Edition
Gone Home
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist Deluxe Edition
System Shock 2
Dishonored GOTY
Skyrim
A Story About My Uncle
The Fall

And I bought Thief Master Thief edition the previous week. Thankfully the price was the same as it was during the Summer Sale. And what game do I play over the weekend? Kairo, which I think I bought during the Winter Sale.

Please do yourself a favor and install not only the HD texture pack but go and research some of the fantastic graphic mods out there. Its a huge improvement to the game world.

The main ones that come to mind are the Improved City follage, Sounds, Weather and water. Be patient and you will be very happy you have them installed.

Just search this forum for one of the several Skyrim mod discussion threads. Most of the stuff mentioned in those is the good stuff.

Did you sell all your achievement cards or what you just newly got from this summer sale? (or both??)

My total:

Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons ($2.99)
The Witcher 2 ($3.99).

I finished Brothers already - amazing game. Total Biscuit wasn't lying- I wasn't disappointed.

And I'm 4 hours into The Witcher 2 and loving it.

I was about to pull the trigger on Baldurs Gate II EE - but decided to wait. I think we'll see it again during the Holiday Sale (and maybe even cheaper). Plus, rumor has it, they're working on Planescape: Torment Enhanced Edition. I'm betting at some point they'll have a bundle with all the Enhanced Editions in it.....that's what I really should get.

Witcher 2 is an awesome game. I played through twice. Very fun and engaging.
