So much I already had, and the DLCs I wanted require Steam versions of the base title, that I hadn't gotten from Steam. I did, however, buy Borderlands 2 for the 3rd time (by itself on sale, bundled with BL:GOTY on Steam a long while back, and now BL2:GOTY in this sale).

Finally picked up Tropico 4, too (still unsure about 5). While the opacity always frustrates me to no end (why can't I just have a list of what the employees are doing, instead of having to zoom in on each one to find out they're just busy right now? Grrr), it is one series that really works well with the gameplay casualization trend, very much in opposition to Civilization, IMNSHO. My island's demise shall not be from superpower pressure, or nearby invasions, or debt, or coups, or rebellions. It shall be from traffic jams and lazy construction workers.

Also got Typing of The Dead: Overkill + DLCs. I mean, why? But, at the same time, why not? A sequel to the oddest edutainment title of all time, that I was planning to buy without the sale, once I cleared through a few more SP games...so, of course I'll take it for a lot less!

It does tell you what constructors are doing in Tropico 4... click on the construction building. Anything being worked on, will be listed, even if the constructor is en-route. If nothing is listed, they are getting food/etc.

While it does feel casual, there is a lot of depth to Tropico 4. Your traffic jams are solved by my creative placement of garages and road system. Google it. Granted with all the DLC it's pretty damn easy to have a powerhouse economy though.

Tropico 5 however... doesn't show what they are working on. I absolutely loved Tropico until 5. Tropico 5 replays the same two islands over and over in the campaign, with all your previous building saved. Sounds cool, but sucks in practice - get onto the 4th mission with a city that isn't quite stable and fail... literally have to restart the game and play the SAME damn two islands over and over again. After playing the same two islands 8 times, I'm completely bored of it; rather have a fresh new island for every mission.

...which is exactly what I mean. It takes way too long to figure out what they are doing that isn't the 14-hour workday they should be doing, so that I can fix it , as opposed to say, something to click to list each worker and what they're all up to.

I did, and I'm working on it, but on the campaign map, at least, it's easier to see a diagram and hypothesis on pathing than to get it right. I've had quite a few, "well that seems like it should work...whoops!" restarts, and might yet have a few more, though I seem to be getting the hang of laying out roads without tons of preplanning.

Biggest traffic tip, is to not place garages on through roads. Put them on dead end streets a decent distance from a through road.

Every single car that drops someone off will continue on to a garage to 'park'. If your garages are on main roads, they will tie up traffic from these self driving cars. If they are on a dead end side street, they will only interrupt traffic for a slight moment as they turn onto that side street.

Anyone get divinity original sin? Is there any way to figure out where you have to go? Seems like nothing is available until you discover it, from what I have seen in videos.

For all you guys who bought either of the amazing Witcher games, remember to register your keys on GOG.com for your free DRM-free copies of the games, as well as a discount if you're preordering TW3. You get 10% off if you only register one game, and 20% off if you register both.

Just as an FYI. If you purchased the original copies of 1 and 2 on Steam. You get a 10% discount for the Pre-Order and 5% for each Witcher. Meaning the same discount and you get a key to put into GoG just like Witcher 1 and 2.

Also the price doesn't show up until you go into the Store page for Witcher 3. For people that have 1 & 2, in the US, it should show up at 47.99 on Steam.

Initially? Head NW and you'll run into some guards at a bridge. They'll lead you to town. There is a small tomb dungeon on the way if you want to check it out. If you're talking about the teleport thing, yes you have to discover them before you can transport there.

I was just reading about the game, forgot it was on sale this summer because it didn't catch my interest until I found a lets play on YouTube.

Even the people in the video were confused on where to go or what to do in the quests. Looks like a tough game but worth checking out from the visuals and all the things you can do.

One of the original design goals of Divinity: OS was that they wanted to make a classic RPG with updated graphics, and for them that meant a lot less hand holding. They wanted you to pay attention to what you are told when you are given a quests, have to take notes, and other old school ideas. There was a time in which they were debating if the game should have any sort of auto-map at all.

I didn't know that. There is an awful lot of dialog in the game and it is a good thing there is a map at least. From the look of it, seems like you could easily get lost or forget what you have to do. For a person that's never been too much into rpg games, it definitely looks intriguing just don't know how long I would play before giving up due to being overwhelmed.

But how do ppl manage their real life if they are even unable to do similar tasks in a game?

Comparing real life management to a game, that's funny. Its pretty easy when you have a GPS built in to almost every device now. Also, I'd love to be able to have time to just wander around and explore these type of games but I have limited time to play so a long learning curve is sometimes rough.

I should have bought it during the steam sale. Gonna wait for another sale and grab it then so when I have time I can try to get into it.

I agree that you can't really compare real life and game management. But, I don't think it has anything to do with GPS. I was navigating around long before GPS. Navigation with out a map is a specialized skill that is a lot harder then most people would believe. Even with a good map most people get lot easily.

Also, I'd love to be able to have time to just wander around and explore these type of games but I have limited time to play so a long learning curve is sometimes rough.
I have the same problem with not having any time. But I've decided that I don't really care how long it takes to play a game, if I'm enjoying it I'll keep playing. I expect that D: OS will take me most of the rest of this year to finish, and I'm okay with that. When it is over I'll have Wastelands, which might take me all the way to Torment or Pillars of Eternity ( the renamed Project Eternity) which ever get here first. Overall, I've got a few really good years of gaming ahead of me
